Hi.

Just created and delivered 2 giveaways for Zeno Clash and Puzzle Kingdoms (both already confirmed to have been received by the winners).

The games are worth 10 and 14€ in Steam (1 and 1something now with the sales), yet my account value hasn't increased a cent.

What am i doing wrong this time?

Guess you've already got your $30 of bundle game contribution.

A real non-free non-bundled game will make it increase.

World of Goo and Dota 2 are both in the bundle list. You can only get max value from bundle games up to $30. After that, you need to giveaway non-bundle games and then you will get a small % value from bundle games you giveaway from now on.

Let me guess... the names that appear with the "*" in the giveaway list are the bundled ones?

Funny thing, i chose the only 90% discount games in Steam wich didnt seem to be a total crap and aparently the only one i did not pick because it has awful reviews (perimeter 2) is not bundled.

Then be glad you gave the winner good games instead of caring about your contributor score.

yea that's why you see some giveaways for Perimeter 2 floating around, despite fact that it seems to be an absolutely terrible game and anyone should be ashamed to give it =P just look at the scores on MetaCritic

basically people are just trying to exploit the system and falsely inflate their by contributor stats by getting 10-to-1 on their money for such a cheap game. I understand that there is a bit of a grey area there when it comes to this sort of thing. I mean many games for the giveaways are likely acquired when on sale... but when it's so painfully obvious that the only reason it was done was to boost contributor stats in the most efficient way possible, well then that just doesn't seem right to me.

you don't need to look any further than the fact that Perimeter 2 was never given away before this holiday sale, despite having been on Steam since early 2009. stuff like this, and $10 Amazon bundles that yield $100-$150 worth of contributor value on here is why the entire system is flawed and broken.
