Trying it now, but I'm doubtful that it will work

I was also on Windows 8 (64-bit) while playing TR and there wasn't any problem with sound. Did you try to check sound card drivers?

I managed to get it working, for some reason when I first launched TR it disabled my sound card. Had to reenable it from the device manager

I boot the game up and there's absolutely no sound. None at all. Not in the menu, not in the benchmark, not in the game. I'm running on Windows 8 and the game runs perfectly apart from the bug.
