It's a smart enough move, I suppose; if it's only $20-30 it'll likely outdo the Vita version pretty quickly in international sales, just by virtue of being on anything that's not the Vita. I expect that it'll also get ported to PS4 and maybe even the Switch soon enough, if they've put in this much effort.
On the other hand, I'm pretty disappointed that Sega's strategy with Atlus seems to be 'wait eight years, then do a budget port' - in fact, if the game is going live right after the show ends, it'll be the 14th in Japan: P4G's eighth birthday. Sega's gotten pretty good about publishing stuff on PC in a timely manner (Yakuza partially excluded), but after the furor over RPCS3's team getting Persona 5 pretty well playable, you'd figure someone over on Sega's side would've taken a serious look at a real PC port.
I'll probably pick it up regardless; my PSTV is busted and I sold my Vita years ago. But if they don't at least announce Catherine Full Body or P5R as well, I don't think they ever will.

I feel like they will release games little by little, depending on the sale numbers. Starting with Persona its great because those games will surely sell a lot, specially considering Persona 4 is the Golden edition, so its going to be the only way to play this game without having a PSVita. In regards to Royale I guess it will come soon after (hopefully they will release Royale immediatly and wont bate P5 only to release Royale later), and Catherine migth come later, the original didnt sell too well on Steam so maybe if they see sucess Atlus will port most if not all of his games regardless of the success.

I would love to see SMT: Persona 1 & 2 and Tokyo Mirage released as well. :)
But I will take any Persona they want to throw at us. :D

Might want to hold on that one, if Persona 3 and 4 sell well (common, we know they will) then Persona 5 will follow suit, maybe even this year. So if you want the game on Steam waiting might be the better choice.
