How can I check, is my trade partner a scammer? Here the answer !

I got scammed 4 hours ago.
I wrote to the support.
In the reply they suggested to install the " http://www.enhancedsteam.com/index.php " , with this you can easily back track the userprofile to steamgifts profile to prevent further scams.

I tried and it is work!

I hope with this topic I will help several users to not to be scammed. :)

Oh I see so you put in their username? But the problem with that is a million people can have the same user. I have had that kind of situation with a scammer once where I tried searching his user in steam and there was like 20 pages full of the same name.

It helps to use the Steam ID64 and not a name, not even a vanity profile, when referencing users - you are less likely to get the wrong profile that way.

Edit: Oh, and never believe a link provided by the other person, look it up yourself.

It's a direct sg profile link embedded on right side of steam profile page. No searching.

I've been hanging out in the forums enough now to see Enhanced Steam being recommended more and more. I'm done with trading for a while but I think I might download it anyway and give it a try. Thanks for the tip!
