So it's my first time building a new pc and I think I have it almost sorted out but my main concern are the compatibility issues ( I have no clue at all about that) so any of you know if the pieces are compatible or a site where I can compare?

Also, recommendations are welcome, about the rig or about new games i can play with it :D

Rig:

Processor: i7 7700 1151 3.6Ghz

Motherboard: Asus Prime B250M-A

RAM: Kingston DDR4 2x8GB 2133HZ HYPERX FURY BL

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

SSD: SANDISK SSD PLUS 240GB

about 700W of power supply, i have no interest atm about overcloking and i'm still thinking about a hard drive (probably a 2TB one)

Now the thrash gibs:

700w is overkill, I'm pretty sure a 550 should be enough, a 650w if you want to stay large is more than enough

Yeah I got a bit carried away seeing there were even 800W ones, power supplies are not my forte

The higher the wattage and the better the rating 80+ Titanium (as an example) the better the efficiency really is.
For those people with very large electricity costs (amount charged per kilowatt hour) this can be a very good purchase.

My fault, I edited it, it's 2x8GB

only thing you need to worry compatibility wise is if your mobo support your chosen CPU socket (1151) and type of RAM (ddr4). And it does both, so it will be compatible. How will it work is a different issue ;) (you should really REALLY get a HDD or hybrid, because 240GB is like nothing nowadays, you have games which alone can weight up to 60-80GB)

Yeah 240 is just the SSD i was planning buying a hard drive of about 2TB

then you should be fine ;) even PSU is fine imho - yes, it is overkill like PraiseRhllor pointed above, but if you wish to upgrade in the future - 2 GPUs in SLI, additional cooling systems, OCing and so on - if price is comparable between 550/600 and 700W I'd personally pick 700W. It's always better to have a better PSU just for future - then when you will be building your new rig in few years maybe you won't have to reeplace PSU right away - it's always some initial savings ;)

ehrm 1060 means no sli xD
Anyway yep, a larger psu it's not bad if you can afford it, but if your budget is limited better spend it on something else

yep, but upgrade may also mean buying 2 SLI-compatible GPUs in the future to replace old 1060. Or buy one new much more demanding GPU in the future (factory OCed, dedicated bigass cooling etc). Also PSUs are far from being the most expensive components in PC-building, actually PSUs are relatively cheap parts ;) So like I said - if price is comparable, aka difference is affordable, it's always better to go for better PSU ;)

Go play Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War with your new rig, they'll run nicely.

You can use PC Part Picker to see the compatibility of your components. It will even tell you the estimated power requirements so you can choose a suitable power supply.

The 4cores\4threads cpu will not last long unfortunately, better to buy Ryzen cpu if you want some sort of future proof pc.

It has 4 cores 8 threads: https://ark.intel.com/products/97128/Intel-Core-i7-7700-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz

That CPU is ok for gaming, actually the best one. But I agree that a Ryzen 8 cores 16 threads is future proof.

damn. i've been trying to find a good 1060 6gb or Rx 580 8Gb (1060 cant SLI tho, thats why i preferred RX 580) deals on my country in the past three month. sadly the prices goes inflated because cryptocurrencies, and its price now = the cheapest 1070 before the price inflated. :|.
had to buy 1050ti, since used 970 are in high demand/price too (im planning to upgrade later when the price stabilize again, maybe).
u are very lucky to able to get that ^^b

I was seriously considering the 1050ti but i was afraid that it would fall short, still it seems good for a budget gpu

SSD: SANDISK SSD PLUS 240GB

Buy a Samsung EVO instead, the rest is ok if you don't want to OC.
