Will you be buying the new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus
I still have my iPhone 5, which is more than 3 years and 9 months old, That I'm very happy with. I'll probably think of getting a new one when this one dies. We will see.
The phone I owned before this, a Sony Ericsson W960i, I managed to use it for 8 years. I don't expect the iPhone to last that long but we will see. I still have my 960i but I mainly use it nowadays as a backup phone for any extra SIM card while travelling.

Yeah, the mid-range smartphones these are just as good...and often have more useful features (without having extra accessories) because they need a good selling point to differentiate, so I'm digging that. I'm impressed with the LG X Cam, the software is clean and very customisable.
Waterproof also helps for toilets, not just fishing. ;)

That is nice I suppose. I never found the need to get a new phone every year. Seems like too much trouble to me XD I use it only to make calls and play games while I'm travelling. I don't use it for anything else, so most phones are the same to me :P

Well, there are things I like on the WinPhone 10 I put recently on my Lumia (chiefly among them the considerably longer battery lifespan, pushing now a week with a full charge), but some other I don't like much (like the removal of all normal alarm sounds, they are all weak and feeble now, barely a whisper, not something to wake up to).

Just got an iPhone SE three weeks back. Very happy with it. Tough the screen is a bit small coming from 4,5 inch.
Hope that this phone will last me atleast 3 years

The air pods may as well be a pack of air since you'd lose them straight out the box...

Everyone is definitely going to be dropping those and breaking or losing them. It's not uncommon to have earbuds fall out.

I'm still using a 4S and have no plans to upgrade. I think it's really dumb that you have to carry around an adapter with you if you want to use normal headphones. I like the older style smaller phones with flat sides and if I upgraded I would probably get the SE (if I decided to get another iphone).

It would be great if they lost a ton of sales because of it and people switched to the Galaxy or just decided to wait for the Iphone 8 to see if they bring it back.
People were saying that they were going to get rid of it so that they could make the phone thinner, but it is the exact same size as the 6. Maybe they got rid of it to make the battery 200mah bigger, but I don't think that is worth it considering I use headphones in it every day and so do a very large number of people. If they want to make the battery bigger, make the phone slightly thicker. I personally don't like how thin the phones are.

They say it can provide more power, but I'm not sure about how much it draws. They will just say it is ok because they made the battery 200mah bigger.

it's genius! remove jack, but hey you can use the lightning!!! what? you can't charge and listen to music at the same time? No Just look at our new wireless phones, or wait looking for more battery? Have you seen our battery cases and the battery last one more hour comparing to last year's U JUST GOT WOW'D!
And I Insist this is the best smartphone they made (what? i thought it wouldn't be the new one the best they made, it would be funny if they said "yeah, we've done better but buy anyway pls"), it's the best processor they made suprise and the best camera they made again another suprise

Maybe all the loyal Apple customers should have some courage and try out an Android till Apple brings the headphone jack back :)

It's almost as stupid as their laptop that has a single plug for power any everything else that you want to plug into it.

So instead of just having some flush ports on the side of the computer that are always there if you need them, you will have to unplug your power if you want to plug something in and use some kind of adapter because it is USB type C which will not be on any of your devices.
Or you can carry around some kind of adapter with multiple plugs on it like this. What a joke.

Just one more thing to lose or break and have to buy another from your local overpriced Apple store ; )

Hmm, I wonder if my mom will upgrade now that they removed headphones jacks.

I have a feeling that they may start skipping the S models. I feel this way because there are a lot of really dumb people in the world and the Iphone is competing with the Galaxy. They were both recently on version 6 and now on 7. If Samsung releases the Galaxy 8 and Apple releases the 7S, a lot of people will think the Galaxy is newer and better because it is 8 and Apple is still 7.
Yes, people are this dumb and I have seen other electronic and software companies skip numbers to keep up with competitors. Just look at Firefox and Chrome.
Firefox was on version 1.2 in 2002 and it took them till 2006 to release version 2.0 because of their numbering scheme. 4 years to get from 1.2 to 2. Google released chrome in 2008 and they were both on version 3 in 2009. At this point they had the same version number so it basically started a version number war where one had to keep up with the other. They are now around version 48 to 53 depending on if you look at official and beta releases.

I understand people who buy iPhones for $100 extra to their contract, but people who pay full price for them... they are plain fanboys or people who just want to follow the trends for social status.
I don't like Apple's restrictions and philosophy of "looks are the most important", also I despise not having a back and options buttons, specially the Back button. I've had an iPhone and a Macbook Pro in the past, they were good products for sure, but really overpriced, specially when you can have a whole lot better performance with cheaper products.

I'll stay with a cheaper chinese android phone, that's more money for games ;)

The new Apple iPhone 7 was just launched, along with the iPhone 7 Plus, and Watch Series 2.
Wanted to see how many are considering upgrading?
It releases next week, 13th September.
Edit: Just so you know, I'm not a fanboy, and won't be getting one myself. But it isn't half bad this time around.
