Agreed.
In a similar vein, I'd also recommend checking out Ultimate Chicken Horse and King of the Eggs.

One player hosts their farm. Other players (up to 4 people total) can each have a cabin on the farm. Everyone works together. It's a nice time c:

It’s pretty much as Porphyrous says.
If you’re using pc, it uses internet to connect. You use a save file and have an option to play multiplayer if you have Friend cabins or make a new save file with some. You get a Friend code in game and give it to player 2 to add to their game to join.

The Borderlands series is probably the most time I've spend in online co-op, and a complete blast.
Divinity Original Sin is great if you want to play a co-op RPG.
Gears of War is great in co-op.
The Division is a lot of fun.
The Secret World is really nice as a f2p co-op MMO.

Cook Serve Delicious 1 or 2? What about Human Fall Flat?
BTW this forum is for "Bugs / Suggestions" for this site, not for you to ask for game suggestions ;) So you might want to edit your post and change the category to General or Off-Topic

No online coop for CSD1 and 2 unless the dev made it and I'm not aware of them.

Dont Starve Together. Updated recently and releasing new content at 0 additional cost, currently new content under beta. Overwhelming Positive, Loads of mods, to cater to your playing needs. Low price of $15, also if I am not mistaken, you buy 1 copy and receive another in your inventory, I am pretty sure that policy still exist. One of the nicest indie company that exist in the industry. Have fun! ^_^

if you like to blow stuff up killing floor 2 is imho the most fun you can have when playing co-op / pve.

No problem :)
She's also big on puzzle games but those are single player mostly. I've played Gorogoa and Baba is You and introduced her to those (via Steam library sharing). She's beaten Gorogoa and really loved it, mostly because of the artistic style. She likes Baba is You as well, but that game can be really frustrating at times, especially for people who haven't played games that much.

Depends on what kind of games you both like. Below are some of the ones that I've played with others.
Armello Currently on sale on Humble Bundle store.
A friend gifted this game to me and I've played several games with them since. It's a lot of fun. It's basically a board game with the objective to become king. Each game lasts about 1 hour.
Civilisation
Any of the Civ games are pretty good to play with others because again, each game lasts about an hour or so. I had taken more of a liking to Civ IV: Beyond the Sword.
Terraria A friend gifted me a copy on Steam which I haven't played yet. Had it for Xbox though and liked it a lot.
Worms Franchise Silly games, but a hell of a lot of fun. lol. (Naming the worms can be pretty hilarious too when you have a few playing).

Try to play together a way out, its a must for anyone who is looking for a coop game with a great story and a lot of variety on the missions.
