I don't own the game, but its in my list of games.. ...so I cannot bid on it, so how do I remove it or w/e so that I can try to win a copy?

You can't do anything about that until free week ends. Sorry.

You can't now. In the future manual sync your account before the weekend deals start, so it doesn't auto sync during a free week/end. Then, remember not to sync your account again, until the free week/end is over.

Wait a few days and you'll be able to bid.

You have synced your Steam acc with steamgifts. And as a free week promotion, it counts as OWNED. You can't really do anything about it. You can't enter GA-s as long as this game is free. BTW you have a bunch of cards. For 20-25 you can get a copy if you really want it. Just head over steamtrades.com, and find a trader, who has loads of +rep, and accepts cards.

25 cards are you kidding? you can get like 3 copies of the game for that by trading.
or if you want to buy it yourself, sell 10 cards for €0.10 on steam and buy the game for €0.99
but with a metascore of 36 i doubt its worth it.

Metascore is not everything. If you select games by Metascore, you will never really find hidden gems like Deadly Premonition. And it has been updated since it came out. The first release as I seen it on vids was terrible, but this one is actually playable.

The metascore is for the game before it had these huge updates/free expansions. It's having another free expansion and from the current player reviews it seems that most people say it's a good game now.

that video is old and the game has basically been totally reworked since then. the devs nearly did enough to it so that its a different game. and they are releasing a mega content update again and all owners get it free.

cards sell for enough to where you could sell 20-25 cards and make a dollar for sure, maybe even 2-3.

Since it hasn't yet been explicitly stated in this thread, note that SteamGift's automatic sync runs once every 7 days. Those who are able to enter these giveaways have not synced since the free weekend started, either on purpose (by running a manual sync before the free weekend began) or by chance.

So people have it on library even if they don't own the game?

I'm asking because somebody won my last giveaway for this game, and because i saw that game in the winner library, i opened a request for a new winner.

By the way, why Orion is being marked as bundled?

Exploitable Pricing - Orion: Dino Horde
ORION: Dino Horde (Feb 20, 2014)
Source: http://www.steamgifts.com/bundles/list

(Games end up in this category when they can be purchased at 95%+ off the regular price.)

I was under impression that orion dino is 93% off?

When it comes to 4-packs, the Steam Store can be a little misleading. Yes, the 4-pack is 93% off its regular price but the 4-pack already included a 25% volume purchase discount ($45 vs. $60 for 4 x 1-packs), which is not reflected in the percent-off number displayed on the Store.

So, the 4-pack is $3 for $60 worth of games (4 x 1-pack at $15 each). That's 95% off.

Too bad. Mine is from a 4-pack bought in the summer sale, and it's now at 94%. But thanks, at least i understand why.

The game is currently Free-2-Play until Feb 27th.

You can check if a person really owns Orion: Dino Horde:

  1. Friend them
  2. Add the game to your cart
  3. Purchase as a Gift
  4. Send my gift directly through Steam
  5. Scroll down to their name and check if it says already owns ORION: Dino Horde
  6. Remember to remove the game from your cart after checking

This works for other games as well as 99% of the DLC on Steam.

Thanks for the tip!

Surprisingly the game is not anymore in that winner library. I'll cancel the request and send to him.

That does not work for free weekend/week games. I get the message that they already own it and I checked at least 5 people that I am 100% certain don't. The only people on my list that don't have the message are ones that haven't logged in, in ages, thus the subscription hasn't been applied to their account.

It works if you want to check if someone owns a game?DLC though (with very few exceptions).

Yup. Free weekend games will shows as owned on this screen if they have logged into their account since the free weekend started.

They are bidding on the $1 copies since the game is free to access multiplayer
