for me, i don't care since i already have it. I wouldn't mind if the next bioware game went to steam, but i wouldn't kill myself either if it went to origin.

this is such a stupid group. its just bewildering how so many people have been brainwashed into thinking that a monopoly is a fantastic thing, but choice (regardless of its quality) is a BAD thing.

ladies and gents, i give you the future generation. the future business people... the future economists... we are so screwed.

Origin is crap, but it doesn't need to be on Steam. It just needs more reasonable DRM (or much better yet, no DRM.) Steam would be nice, but unnecessary.

i would remove eliminate origin and put let EA share their games with steam. them to destroy origin is a lot of work and they will lose a lot of money.

This won't work, its not even a petition really, no ones gonna notice a steam group. On top of that its silly, Dark Souls worked because it was a game that people wanted on PC, you aren't gonna shut down EA like this.....

it depends on the number of the members that the group haves

Last I heard it was Valve that rejected EA's flirting after EA's embarrassing Steam U-turn. Valve don't want to be bullied regarding DLC, EA don't want Valve to sell their DLC.

The truth is I'd be surprised if EA had noticed a 1% dip in sales since Origin launched, and meanwhile Gabe is still lying on a mattress of money... I'd not expect anyone to back down (or collapse) just yet. But you can bet if EA ever took a nose dive their IP's would get snapped up by the highest bidder and there aren't many studios left that could foot the bill...

Cue daydream. Screen 1: Valve logo... screen 2: Dragon Age III... nergasmic.

Competition is good for the consumer. Nobody wants a monopoly, despite how good Steam is. If Steam were the only player in town, what's to stop them jacking around with us? We'd have no alternative but to continue using them. Origin, despite all the scaremongering people do about it, can only get better and benefit the consumer.
