Wow, I am thankful to have such a great community in which every gamer can love/hate games or genres without being flamed or made fun of. It makes me truly feel the holiday spirit. I too believe that Gabe and Valve uses the same voting machines they used in Florida that cost Al Gore the election in the 2000 presidential election. There should be a recount to make sure there were no hanging chads. Also it should be illegal punishable by death to vote for anything we disagree with, and how dare they expect us to buy games when they are not on sale! I mean compared to buying cartridges games are not cheap enough! $120 for a snes game brand new vs an outrageous $60 for a modern game? They should be ashamed.

I remember looking at its store page but totally forget the details. Meanwhile I know Town a little bit better. Note that popularity really is the predetermined factor for the community choices, like it or not. Note that I also see Town more frequently than Giana, which mean whether it was advertised more or just coincidence. BTW the most important thing is different people have different taste, and the community choice does nothing to prove how many enjoy it but instead showing how many want its discount.
PS: I vote Towns... don't downvote me!

I voted for the Gina Sisters too, alas.
Ah well. Amazon will probably have it on a 95% discount tomorrow.

I voted for towns and bought it. Was very glad to see it win because while towns is an awesome game I felt it was priced a little high for it's production values. The sale was Perfect IMHO and brought the price of the game down to the price it should be even when it is not on sale. Now if only the same would happen to Don't Starve.....

Maybe that's because of what I said. People see the results of the voting and decide to check out the game, even if they didn't vote for it. Also, games that were in a recent sale will be more popular and more played than others that were not.

C'mon, Gaben, at least try to pretend this shit ain't rigged.
Not to say Towns and Miner Wars 2081 don't have their fans. But at the very least it seems highly implausible that lesser known games of their respective genres would capture 73% of the popular vote!
Yes, I'm sure some of you disagree. Let me have it.
