[Feature Request] Hide games that you already own from listings.

This might work better as a toggle switch on the homepage/search listings, however following the recent flood of "The Ship: Complete Pack" giveaways (which I had already got from the 10,000 key giveaway). Also, my points are maxing out really quickly and I am finding it hard finding giveaways to enter (first world problems).

Or at least check the one and only sticky right at the top of the page that links to all the useful things like rules, FAQ, add-ons, and all that nice stuff?

The main sticky needs to be more visible imho - because the topic is closed, it's 'faded out', which may incline some people not to notice it, or dismiss it at a glance as a random closed thread.

  • If it was built-in the servers would explode because they can't handle that for everybody at once. edit:(maybe not)
  • With the add-on the work is done on your computer.

Not sure it would put much more load on the server, simply adding an exclusion to the SQL query.

It would save a lot in bandwidth costs though.

Loading that 1-9 extra entries of giveaways that would otherwise be pages deep would save quite a bit of bandwidth.

It misses some games. just click "ignore" by where it shows how many entries

You have to click on "[Giveaway Filter Settings]" and tick the "Ignore games in my sync library." checkbox to activate the feature.

Also, I submitted a ticket with the suggestion. They say it can be abused.
I would like this.
