Sorting by date

Can different sorting get implemented in a future update? I mean like in SG1, it was possible to sort by giveaways' end ("Open") or their beginning ("New"). I was used to the latter and I really thought it was convenient way of browsing them.

Also, is there a way to clear GAs from the "New" section? I don't see any option and they remain the same after logout.
