So which one is your favorite?

So far I'm liking Dark Souls 2 better than DS 1.

Seems to have a better combat system, especially for dual wielding. And the areas are FAR more atmospheric.
And since I don;t have DS 3 yet. :P

I did include Demons Souls in the poll for those of you that did play it since it's set in the same universe if not the same storyline.

Which was your favorite?

View Results
Demons Souls
Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition
Dark Souls 2/Scolar of the First Sin
Dark Souls 3

Played a few hours of the first DS, beat the first boss in one go (as a deprived too) and got overly confident. I then proceeded to get killed by skeletons more times than I could count. The combat is very clunky which makes it frustrating, and not in a fair way. If the combat was better I may have continued playing, but the constant framedrops and bad controls made me stop. Apparently these problems were fixed in DS2 and 3 so I imagine they're the better games

I think it's especially because of the better rolling system

My main deciding factor for choosing DS1 over DS2 (have not played DS3 yet) is that DS1 does not have that stupid tracking/aimbot bologna. In DS1, should I roll, the enemies generally miss...unless I roll stupidly. In DS2, should I roll, the enemies spin on a swivel and still hit me. I was putting up with it until I got to that Sif-reskined-as-a-Rat boss. I rolled out of the way of his forward dash attach and he turned sharply mid lunge and still hit me. I haven't played it since. I find that should they turn unnaturally, ie no leg movement but just that swivel turning, it is just cheap difficulty. Bloodborne has it less but I dislike the graphics more, oddly enough, than DS1 and DS2.
So yeah, DS1 is my choice. Would be DS2 were it not for that stupid tracking nonsense.

I haven't played Demon's souls nor Bloodborne (I don't own a console) But I think each game has something special.
For example, my favourite is Dark Souls 1, mostly because it was something completely new for me. Most Bosses were intimidating and very creative but it was a horrible port. Not to mention that it was almost imposible to summon a friend or someone, and you could be invaded, even if you were killed 10seconds ago by an invader.
Dark Souls 2 however, was a great port but the bosses weren't so creative nor intimidating, they were just bosses. One thing I really loved from this game was the MP, it was incredibly easy to summon or invade and it was well balanced. Not to mention the NG+ feature that changed some things so your 2º playthrough wouldn't be the same as your first one.
Dark Souls 3 included the best features of the series (great bosses fights, a balanced MP, the maná bar for magic and skills, the smooth from Bloodborne, etc) , except for the NG+ new surprises which is disappointing for me.

In a way, I prefer Demon's Souls, it started my obsession and opened my eyes.
But overall, it's Demon > 1 > 3 > 2
2 made rolling through attacks almost impossible early game, really hated that. 3 would've beat 1, but it never stopped stuttering for me, it REALLY upset me and made it much less enjoyable, probably would have 100s of hour in it already if the PC port worked properly for me. 1 is kind of a classic, like Demons, but I don't have as much nostalgia for it. But I love all of them!

If I could choose it though, King's Field 4 would be #1. ;p

I am currently playing the second one and is quite nice, but i think that the story from the first one is far better.

I dont have a PS3 so i can't talk about Demon's Souls.
