Well since you didn't mention it already, I think the first thing that needs to be recommended should be the shadowrun RPG trilogy. <3

Absolutely worth it if you catch it on sale. A lot of people say the first one isn't as good but I really enjoyed all three of them. The first one isn't as technical or deep but its still worth a play in my opinion.

FYI
Lockdown is by a different dev and not related to the Hairbrained trilogy. (And it also sucks)

Won Defragmented here and enjoyed it. However, the difficulty level isn't well balanced. And I wouldn't pay the Steam price.

Observer, a first person horror cyberpunk game, was just released this week. You play as detective Dan Lazarski who works in Krakow city owned entirely by a mega-corporation called Chiron in the year 2084. As a detective, you hack into the minds of the deceased victims via a neural cable to observe their memories(hence the game's title) and solve their mysterious deaths. The game's protagonist is voiced by Rutger Hauer known for his role as Roy Batty from the cyberpunk film, Blade Runner. Observer is from the same developers whom created Layers of Fear.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, Gemini Rue - an absolute must, Shadowrun: Hong Kong, Invisible, Inc. - a must for turn-based tactical games fan, Transistor is also a great game although a bit more action-packed. If you're more into FPS, I highly recommend Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition instead of its successors, and System Shock 2.

Shadowrun games are good, if you can appreciate high doses of fantasy elements in your cyberpunk. (Orcs with implants are a thing. And megacorps are being hoarded by dragons.)
Remember Me is a decent action game.
I haven't played The Surge myself, but it looks like another action game that fits the mold, and it's got pretty good reviews. Also has a demo. I should see if my rig can run that after I finally get around to upgrading it.
Technobablyon and to a lesser extent Shardlight fit the setting for point & click games.
Better yet: If you're willing to look outside of Steam, I just found that Beneath a Steel Sky is free on GoG. That's infinite value for money right there.

I've had an urge to play something cyberpunk themed lately, but I'm not really sure what to play. I'm open to games of any genre, any suggestions?
Besides Deus Ex, obviously. I've got my eye on that one.
