It's with great pleasure that we announce the immediate launch of

Let's Train: London Underground "Mind the Gap" Edition

We recreated the London Underground network of 11 lines and 270 stations as a community giveaway train network on Steamgifts. Every station (giveaway) is on one of the lines, and links to the previous and next station, as well as to all other lines that stop in the same station (we have multiple GAs for stations that share multiple lines). That way we ended up with 380 giveaways from 66 contributors for the complete London Underground network.

Enter the London Underground here, and remember to MIND THE GAP!

After less than two days of Early Access we finally mounted the last few remaining signposts, and worked tirelessly to address all the bugs and issues reported by our 47 early adopters, including how to deal with blacklisted GAs and bringing the site back online (thanks cg!).

Oh, a quick note for those who tend to get lost easily: we recommend the official tube map as your guide through the London Underground network.

How long will you be open for the public?

Until Saturday 17. October.

Thank you

Thanks all who commented on the original thread, and specifically a very big thank you to the group of people who worked so hard these two weeks to make this happen: Nudiustertian, Momo1991, eeev, trentjaspar2, adam1224, Bloodcloak, josgba2002, Sinovera, SexyBudgie. Please consider them for a spot on your whitelist, even if only temporarily during this event!

And once you're through, consider sitting through the Daily (Mail) History Lesson just for fun :-)

Dearest creature in creation,
Study English pronunciation.
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse.
I will keep you, Suzy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye, your dress will tear.
So shall I ! Oh hear my prayer.
Just compare heart, beard, and heard,
Dies and diet, lord and word,
Sword and sward, retain and Britain.
Now I surely will not plague you
With such words as plaque and ague.
But be careful how you speak:
Say break and steak, but bleak and streak;
Cloven, oven, how and low,
Script, receipt, show, poem and toe.
Hear me say, devoid of trickery,
Daughter, laughter, and Terpsichore,
Typhoid, measles, topsails, aisles,
Exiles, similes and reviles;
Scholar, vicar and cigar;
Solar, mica, war and far;
One, anemone, Balmoral,
Kitchen, lichen laundry, laurel;
Gertrude, German, wind and mind,
Scene, Melpomene, mankind.
Billet does not rhyme with ballet,
Bouquet, wallet, mallet, chalet.
Blood and flood are not like food,
Nor is mould like should and would.
Viscous, viscount, load and broad,
Toward, to forward, to rewad.
And your pronunciation's OK
When you correctly say croquet,
Rounded, wounded, grieve and sieve,
Friend and fiend, alive and live.
Ivy, privy, famous; clamour
And enamour rhyme with hammer.
River, rival, tomb bomb, comb,
Doll and roll and some and home.
Stranger does not rhyme with anger,
Neither does devour with clangour.
Souls but foul, haunt but aunt,
Fontm front, wont, want, grand and grant,
Shoes, goes, does. Now first say finger,
And then singer, ginger, linger,
Real, zeal, mauve, gauze, gouge and gauge,
Marriage, foliage, mirage and age.
Query does not rhyme with very,
Nor does fury sound like bury.
Dost, lost, post and doth, cloth, loth.
Job, nob, bossom, transom, oath.
Though the difference seem little,
We say actual but victual.
Refer does not rhyme with deafer.
Foeffer does, and zephyr, heifer.
Mint, pint, senate and sedate;
Dull, bull, and George ate late.
Scenic, Arabic, Pacific,
Science, conscience, scientific.
Liberty, library, heave and heaven,
Rachel, ache, moustache, eleven.
We say hallowed, but allowed,
People, leopard, towed but vowed.
Mark the difference, moreover,
Between mover, cover, clover;
Leeches, breeches, wise, precise,
Chalice, but police and lice;
Camel, constable, unstable,
Principle, disciple, label.
Petal, panel, and canal,
Wait, surprise, plait, promise, pal.
Worm and storm, chaise, chaos, chair,
Senator, spectator, mayor.
Tour, but our and succour, four.
Gas, alas, and Arkansas.
Sea, idea, Korea, area,
Psalm, Maria, but malaria.
Youth, south, southern, cleanse and clean.
Doctrinem turpentine, marine.
Compare alien with Italian,
Dandelion and battalion.
Sally with ally, yea, ye,
Eye, I, ay, aye, whey and key.
Say aver, but ever, fever,
Neither, leisure, skein, deceiver.
Heron, granary, canary.
Crevice and device and aerie.
Face, but preface, not efface.
Phlegm, phlegmatic, ass, glass, bass.
Large, but target, gin, give, verging,
Ought, out, joust and scour, scourging.
Ear but earn and wear and tear
Doo not rhyme with here bue ere.
Seven is right, but so is even,
Hyphen, roughen, nephew, Stephen,
Monkey, donkey, Turk and jerk,
Ask, grasp, wasp, and cork and work.
Pronunciation
Is a paling stout and spikey?
Won't it make you lose your wits,
Writing groats and saying grits?
It's a dark abyss or tunnel:
Strewn with stones, stowed, solace, gunwale,
Islington and Isle of Wight,
Housewife, verdict and indict.
Finally which rhyme with enough,
Though, through, plough, or dough, or cough?
Hiccough has the sound of cup.
My advice is to give up!!

Thank you for this, this is awesome. Unfortunately I've been stopped at several games because the creator blacklisted me =P Guess I'll never know what's on the other side.

If anyone can provide me the link to what lies after these games I'd be grateful, or if the creator(s) could un-blackist me. =P

You just need to copy the url, log out, and then go to the giveaway. You can see them while you are logged out if you are blacklisted.

Yeah just do what the penguin said and it might be a good idea to remove the links here. No one should enter the train randomly during the ride, that could be dangerous D:

Thank you all of you guys, it was a lot of fun :) It was totally epic. Maybe you should do other cities like Paris as well. If you decide to do it, if I have the opportunity I would like to join as well.
