Did I really say gossip? My bad, I meant some news. ;-)

On 26/05 I will be III (three) years on SteamGifts aka my III' SG Cake Day and what a nice journey it has been with mostly ups and also a few downs here and there, not forgetting the bumps and the SGTools trains a long the way. But hey, I’m not complaining knowing and taking everything into account, the end result to date is still positive. I still enjoy making individual giveaways and SGTools trains be they 10 cent bundle games or unbundled games. ✔

Tempus fugit when one is having so much fun on SG. :3

I wish you good health because out of my own experiences I know that health can take a turn for the worse and I wish you a nice and peaceful week/Shabbat/weekend/Sunday!

This is my XIV' (14th) SGTools train to date and Elokim willing there will be more in the future! ^^

However before you ride this train you should know that these are mostly bundle spares gathered since my XIII’ (13th) SGTools train.

This SGTools train will end its ride 28/05/2017 1300 hours Brussels time so you have three weeks to take this ride.

Please bump this thread and if you come here more than once please bump this thread again.

If you enter this or any other SGTools giveaway: ONLY use the SGTools gate/link that you can find in the original main post of the giveaway creator! Don't enter through any links posted on other (random) forums, boards, Steam activity, given by friends or from everywhere and anywhere else as this is proverbially playing with fire and it's just a matter of time not if but when you will get burned. TL DR: only enter SGTools giveaways through the original gate/link found in the original main post of the giveaway creator!

The CV requirement is 2+ and for those that are lower consider this as an incentive to participate and join in SteamGifts giveaways, SteamGifts discussions and the SteamGifts community.

Thank you so much Knsys for creating, updating and user supporting SGTools with the help of JustArchi and ArchiBoT.

A big thank you to the new and veteran train riders that ride my SGTools trains in an orderly and proper manner.

Thank you cg (SteamGifts admin) for confirming that there’s nothing wrong with SGTools and using SGTools for making giveaways on SteamGifts. :3

Thank you SG support for following up my support tickets related to my SGTools trains.

Thank you Valve for removing the Steam gifts to inventory feature, NOT!!!

Baruch HaShem! (Thank G*d)

My trains always take the scenic route so that users have the time to take this ride. The down side of those three weeks is that users win, trade or buy games they have entered in the train and when the ride has ended they forgot to remove those entries and then giveaways need to be re-rolled because of already owned. So please CHECK your entries BEFORE the train ends and if already won or owned please don't forget to remove your entries.

SGTools Thread on SteamGifts

I will check every winner after I send the game(s) that they activate their win(s) on their own Steam account.

I will do random blacklist checks during this train and I will check every giveaway winner to see if I’m blacklisted by the winner (it just takes a couple of clicks). I have no problem being blacklisted but I do have a problem when users blacklist me and at the very same time enter and win giveaways from me. I find this personally not done and it’s of the shallow end of the gene pool level and also of a white feather level! :X

Please leave the blacklist comments out of this thread!

You can comment, post funny gifs and images or not that's up to you. I'm good either way. However I most strongly appreciate that the winners post a simple thank you in the giveaway page of the game(s) they won!

Hey LostSoul!

I just realized that you have blocked me on Steam. We never spoke to each other and I find it awkward that you blocked me.
May I know the reason why you have blocked me? Not in a mean way or anything, I'm just really curious to know what I have done that lead me to being blocked.

Please forgive me if this isn't really the place to ask, I couldn't find any other way of contacting you. :)

I don't like random Steam invites and I'm using enhanced Steam so the reason most probably is in there.

==> " Please forgive me if this isn't really the place to ask, I couldn't find any other way of contacting you. :)"

This isn't the place indeed and it's intentional that I have my Steam profile set up in a way that I can't be contacted.

Since I am not a person of a mere bump, and the title of the first linked song seems initially quite similar to first line of anthem of Prussia in years 1830-1840 (Gregorian calendar), which is "I am a Prussian, know ye my colours?", I'll talk a bit about Prussia.

Firstly something from demographics from the year 1790, which may be interesting to some. Did you know that around the year 1790 more than 200.000 Jewish persons lived in Prussia, which had those days a total population of a bit more than 5 million? A number thereof were descendants of persons chased out (repeatedly) from e.g. Vienna in the 17th century or by Habsburg Maria Theresa from Prague in the early 18th century, but mostly quite settled anyhow, and many became Prussian citizen (of who many also fought alongside e.g. in the liberation wars against Bonaparte).

All that without any forced conversion in terms of religion. Which was arguably particularly due to historical experience of when Teutonic Order unjustly conquered Prussia and forcibly converted (or subjugated, exiled or killed those who refused to become baptized) and then brought their feudal friends and many colonists which caused that German language became dominant to an extent that Old Prussian (Baltic) language disappeared reportedly around 17th century. And/or arguably particularly due to influence of Reformation and Enlightenment, and/or Pragmatism. Or simply since the concept of approaching individuals of society as if part of some herd was a rather unknown concept in Prussia. But in any case, freedom of religion, or religious tolerance, existed in Prussia even in days when e.g. in France for most of the 18th century only Catholicism was allowed, or when Austria had prohibition for Jews to immigrate and for Roma to enter cities. E.g. in the 30-Years war in the early 17th century, Prussia was one of the rather few German speaking participants on the anti-Habsburg side, which represented a concept of religious freedom while the Habsburg side was quite about only one denomination to be allowed, which was often propagated even after the war arguably in similar tradition in which e.g. Inquisition was based on.

Then came the 19th century, in which ideas of Enlightenment, which emphasized what people have in common, was in many minds replaced by ideas of nationalism and so-called Idealism, which emphasized differences. The mentioned anthem of Prussia was in that context arguably rather a response to rising German nationalism than as if typical example of nationalism, and that in days when Prussia wasn't part of the German Bund (which was led by Austria). By the way, Prussia never was a member of the so-named Holy Roman Empire, in which e.g. witch burnings happened or in which in 15th century Roma were by decision of some assemblies brand-marked as traitors to Christianity, something which culminated in many executions in central and western Europe in the 18th century. And the early 19th century had e.g. the Hephep-riots, which was opposed by both Prussian and Austrian authorities but quite an example of that there were not few being quite hateful and sort of hiding among those who surely legitimately pointed out some issues about feudalism not really being cool (as was).

In the second half of the 19th century Prussia sort of pushed out Austria from being as if daddy to Germans, and the Kaiserreich was formed in 1871, where the king of Prussia also was in such function emperor of Germany. Prussia remained its own state during the transition tho, and that Kaiserreich was in state-structure not really different than what EU is known as, that is a sort of federal union of states. Of course a bit simplified put, but was a federation anyhow. And even after WWI, November revolution and abdication of Wilhelm II., there was the so-called Weimar constitution, but it didn't really change anything about the state structure as was, meaning that not only Prussia remained its own state.

Then 1932, in which the Prussian government of Otto Braun was removed (and chancellor Papen re-allowed SA, which was prohibited prior not only in Prussia). Then in 1933 by Papen lobbied appointment of new chancellor and what followed were not really free and fair elections, in which NSDAP overall gained merely 1/3 of votes but due to federal powers given to chancellor had quite some control over media, police, and so on, and even had mandates of elected taken away. And then there was basically as if abolishment of individual state parliaments, prohibition of all parties except one, and in 1934 abolishment of Prussian citizenship, once again as so many issues in those days without really any consent thereto by the persons it concerned and all in the name of some alleged one-nation land with centralized and total power.

After the war the allies decided to prohibit Prussia even tho most of NSDAP leadership did come from areas around Alps and Rhine, which also caused many an expulsion from areas Prussia had as its territory (with e.g. during expulsions from Prussian Silesia more than 600 thousand persons reported to have been killed or gone missing). And the GDR was established, which was basically an one-party Soviet satellite even if it had democratic in its name, and not really an opportunity for free media or political activity as that GDR was quite forbidding anysuch. Meanwhile in the west, German nationalists didn't really have any reason to not continue in their nationalist view about "Germanhood" especially as colonial powers still had their provinces as prior, and due to that apparently no reflection whatsoever about e.g. that Senegalese are Senegalese and not French even if they have French as official language (similarly to how Prussia then had German as an official language), or about who guarantuees e.g. Belgium to not be abolished in EU like Prussia was, or if e.g. Irish would be happy to just be called British without even right to own identity and kind of forced to be subject to will of Brits just because some guy decided so.

And in 1990 Germans as far as I know basically took all that from both State of Prussia but also private individuals confiscated property, didn't agree to give it back at least in case of individuals, and often privatized it into own pockets - with many especially those who lived in GDR not having had any money to be able to purchase any of that, and even these days former GDR regions are the poorest among regions held by Germans, with even average wage being lower than in the (south)west. All that apparently as if in some notion as the most normal thing for Germans to nationalize what they want, have as if provinces and as if servants, and German nationalists even pretending to be representing Prussia even tho they have not a single piece of paper that would really prove they not seldom presentation of as if Prussia being their property.

So, and that is sort of where we Prussians, or descendants of Prussians (as "Prussian" is apparently officially not not allowed to exist), are at. With an arguably clear claim of right to existence of State of Prussia, yet not really having official means of representation as we seem by many considered to be subjects of Germans just because some guy decided so.

All that not meant as if hijacking the thread, just sharing a bit about a real story in context of some things being shared.

Thank you for an interesting read DaLejd. I recently watched the blue max where a German pilot want's to get the Pour le Mérite medal aka The Blue Max. That medal was in origin a Prussian medal where the military version was discontinued in 1918, the civilian version still exists and is called: Der Blaue Max.

Legendary WWI German aces like Manfred von Richthofen en Max Immelmann got the Pour le Mérite for the downing of large numbers of enemy planes and observation balloons respectively 80 kills and 15 kills.

In 1871-1918 in peace times there were 4 armies in Hohenzollern Germany: of Bavaria, Prussia, Saxony, and of Württemberg, which were each quite continuation of days prior 1871. In war times there was the imperial army led by the emperor (who was also king of Prussia). In 1918 that changed quite some due to Versailles treaty according to which e.g. military schools had to be closed and general staff was disbanded. And that then fully unitary military (as e.g. Prussia had no more individual army) internally in Germany turned sort of into a state-within-state which had e.g. the so-called Black Reichswehr operating (part of which was e.g. then SA-leader) until 1923. Later on they had quite some political influence and the leadership was apparently quite paranoid or hysterical about Bolshevism.

As for when the Pour le Mérite was introduced, that was by Frederick the Great, who awarded it e.g. to Voltaire (and who is said to have spoken better French than German). And Frederick was often idolized, and is remembered to this day for his potato edicts, in which he encouraged everyone in Prussia to grow some potatoes, yummy yummy potatoes. And surely was cool about having (re)emphasized religious tolerance. But well, he was quite feudal and arguably quite within the tradition of that Catholic Teutonic military order who had their feudal friends come to lands of Baltic-language speaking Prussians for sake of spoils of war - meaning that this whole feudal military thing Prussia was among many locals not liked for had to do with that sort of feudal club thing, to which there arguably were possibilities to become part of but became arguably more about as if self-glorifying full-of-themselvers than servants at least to state as Frederick pretty much saw himself as.

And well, "the people" were systematically considered quite peasants in all that even tho had some standing, but even tho Prussia then after WWI had full citizen parliament, Prussia didn't have any military anymore to defend itself against e.g. in 1932 state power enforced into federal chancellor Papen's hand despite ruling of court that Prussian's PM Otto Braun (who was politically left standing btw) was legit to hold Prussian government reigns. Otto Braun then went into exile (so did e.g. former Prussian minister of interior Rudolf Breitscheid, who was captured tho and then died in a KZ), and after the war he had to beg to survive and no one of Allies really cared about listening him out about formation of Prussian republic while former co-author of the racial laws was chief of chancellor office when there was Adenauer. And nowadays, the flag Germany is known for is what Germans had as flag when they were with the Habsburgs, while not shy to call e.g. Prussian citizen Bruno Taut, who was chased out by Nazi Germans, a German (as if since he did turn out to not have been as bad as initially depicted he would have been happy to be considered at the feet of some Austrian-German guy) and as if clear example of German awesomeness. Which I in overall do find quite ridiculous and not nice at all having to be as if servant to German nationalist interpretation of reality (even if I were carrying some as if Austro-German name). But well, not meaning to go sour, just meant to add a bit in context of what you mentioned.
