Skyrim: Legendary Edition has started showing up on various retailers websites with a release date of June 4th, 2013. The expected price will be $59.99 for the PC version which is cheaper than the $75 it'd cost to purchase the game and all DLC.

The sub was created on Steam yesterday which confirms it's coming, although I'm unsure whether the date and price is correct.

Thanks goes to YaoJensen for posting about it in another thread which made me want to look into it.

I paid that much for the retail preorder.

Should've been Arrow in the Knee Edition.

Do you guys think I should buy skyrim now and dlc later, or should I wait for the legendary edition?

DLC won't drop in price and there is no upgrade pack as of yet.

So I guess I should play Oblivion or Morrowind until the game comes out.

I imagine the DLC will fall in price on non-steam websites. Get the DLC at that time if there's no upgrade pack.

Well I have seen all the DLC at %50 off which is $22.50 (still on sale @ Gamestop) and the lowest the game has gone is as far as I know about $25, or so at GMG (maybe less with coupon code). So, unless there is another good price drop on the base game I would wait. I have a feeling GMG will have a nice package perhaps with coupon and you could scoop the legendary at a nice price.
