Depends where the 3rd leg is. Or is 'growing an extra leg' a euphemism?

If it was a leg based on my face (for example) I'd lose an existing one <= as everyone is saying they'd get a third leg and amputate that, I'm playing Devil's Advocate and saying that the leg, if removed leaves a stump rather than what every was there in the first place (you'd have no face - oh. wait. Slenderman!?).

But if it was from my hip in usual leg fashion (albeit a superfluous 3rd) I'd probably keep it - tripod stability ftw?!
