Even if the key got revoked after gifting, i would fix the situation myself by properly gifting the game, i've had 2 similar situations to this in the past with gifting, a key being region locked and i had no clue because it was labeled "global" on the purchase, the winner couldn't activate the key, so i took the game for myself and bought a steam gift instead. Long ago had a similar situation with gta 4 complete edition.

I don't plan on removing GAs if there is a mistake on my end, i will always try to get things fixed in a way that the winner does not get impacted negatively.

Did not consider that possibility, but yeah seems like they are revoking the keys, game is still on steam library but on HB they have removed it. So it is likely to be removed in the upcoming days to the release day.

I thought they would let it slip but i guess this price error got abused too much that the publisher is going hard on the case.

Yep, game still shows in my Steam account, but weird that in the Humble Bundle store there is no trace of the purchase or the key that i activated.

You must live in a different reality, where bundles sell hundreds of thousands of copies. In this reality, only few bundles make it even beyond 20k sales.
For comparison, the estimations for the Little Nightmares 2 owners on Steam range between 1.5 and 2.5 million.

So no, the majority doesn't wait for bundles.

I have a LOT of gamer friends who are not on Steamgifts, (some play consoles) and who never ever buy bundles. They just buy whatever game they want to play when it comes out.

That is actually the vast majority of gamers. It's only those of us who got into the bundle culture for whatever reason that have accounts with a crazy number of games.

I would guess the developer had final say on this matter, as well they should.
The two issues are also not the same at all.

The earth defense force situation is strange, they've had price mistakes on it multiple times and only revoked/cancelled orders for it once. Might be the publisher getting fed up with humble and not sending keys honestly. I don't even see it listed on humble anymore

they even start sending epic keys for some games, totally unprofessional since people didnt pay for epic keys.

One and a half years is brutal. Worst I ever had was the F.E.A.R. Collection; took just over 8 months for a restock, and it wasn't even from a bundle. That was the moment I learned to reveal my keys immediately upon purchase. For fun I checked that game's store page about 3 weeks later and it was already out of stock. 😖
