The Last Remnant is 75% off at GMG, along with other Squeenix titles.

Some of the titles on sale at the moment like Tomb Raider and Just Cause 2 have been cheaper on Steam sales, but with GMG's 20% off min 10$ purchase, it evens out. I mostly just want The Last Remnant, but was looking at possibly getting Dungeon Siege III and something else to make the $10 required for 20% discount. Now I know Dungeon Siege III was in Square's Xmas bundle thing, and Deus Ex was recently on sale on Steam, as well as in the AMD rewards thing, but not the Augmented Edition. Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause 2 are also possible contenders but I don't think I'd enjoy them as much as the other 3.

I'm not sure when the Spring sale on steam starts, but I'm thinking these titles may possibly go on sale on Steam's next sale. I'm willing to wait it out, but I wanted to get some other opinions and even some suggestions for other games on sale at GMG that I could possibly get for the discount. All input is appreciated, including any comments about GMG.

I think I'm on the same boat here. Got 14$ store credit but can't decide anything to spend on.

I've had it on my wishlist since I found it on steam, was actually very close to buying it during the Steam winter sale where it was 66% off. Kinda glad I didn't get it then.

I fall under the ROW in Steam, I've never bought from GMG before, but I see USD prices even at checkout. I don't agree with regional pricing either though.

It's a great game. If you enjoy complex JRPGs you should get it.

Lots of sidequests, lots of recruitable characters, huge MMO-like world, great music, cool battle system, decent story. Only downsides are that the main character is stupid and the combat is frustratingly hard to understand when you're getting started.

I really enjoy JRPGs and I've also played many Squeenix games (I won't count the newer ones since they acquired Eidos and I still pretty much regard them as Eidos games). Why do you say the main character is stupid?

Is this another one of those games where the "hero" is a pillock?

DO NOT GRIND FOR LEVELS if you buy this game. It scales with you, and if you grind too much the end becomes literally impossible to complete.

Thanks for the tip, that seems a little annoying as I do that a lot, but it sounds interesting, nonetheless.

It's $2.50, you might as well. It literally costs less than a sandwich from a fast food joint, and you're bound to get more time out of it, than you would from a #2 combo, lol!

You'll definitely enjoy Sleeping Dogs, I'd say more than any of the other games. Maybe even more than any other game you've ever played. Ever. Just saying. You should definitely buy it.

But as for The Last Remnant, I'm not sure (I had the same thought and came here to view the responses)
