Starforge?

Actually, there's a game out there called StarForge, that could be that. It takes the futuristicness of HL, the required teamwork of TF2 (in multiplayer), the "defending yourself from hordes" of L4D, and the terrain manipulation of Minecraft (Never played Terraria but I assume it's basically the same). It's still in early alpha and is horribly un-optimized, but it looks promising.
