Puzzle Quest is certainly closer to what she wants, she specifically wants puzzle games. Trine 2 we actually already own and as much fun as I have with it, she only really plays casual puzzle games so I don't get to play it with her very often.

Is Critter Crunch close to Magical Drop by any chance? They look similar.

I do love Peggle, I have Nights and Deluxe. Sadly, yes, once again a great game with no multiplayer. They're killing me with this.

I think she would pout if I bought her something like CS.

Awesomenauts is a really fun game. Not sure if that is something you two would be interested in though.

Is Dota 2 casual? Oh wait, that's only on Steam, not good. :D

I tried the filtered search Incog, 95% of the games aren't puzzle games and there seems to be no way to filter that for Steam. We do have Terraria already but she lost interest pretty quickly, she really only has an interest in casual puzzles. Tetris, Bejeweled, stuff alone those lines. She does like Portal though, that's certainly an option, I forgot that a sequel was even released.
As for League of Legends...I would never subject her to the cesspool of that gaming community.

Does anybody own Magical Drop V? It seems like the only option on Steam right now...which is actually kind of sad. Anybody know if it's any good? Fiance says it's not a puzzle game she's tried before, but I don't want to dump the money for two copies unless it's at least a decent game, and the Steam forum has absolutely nothing useful at all for reviews.

Realm of The Mad God (free to play) as well. Pretty fun casual game.

There are some splitscreen casual games in the SEGA Genesis & Megadrive Classics. E.g. Columns, though many girls surprisingly like games like Streets of Rage and Golden Axe :-). Yes, really ;-).
My GF and I also enjoy some point&click adventure game from time to time - we sit at 1 computer and work through the puzzles and plot together.

Many do, sadly she does not, at least not most of the time. She'll play Borderlands or Civilization (especially Civilization) but most of the time it's either Second Life or puzzle games. I didn't think to look in the SEGA collection, I'll have to dig in there a bit.

Portal 2 is always a good bet, if you haven't already picked that up.
I've heard good things about Awesomenauts and Hero Academy, but I don't think they fit the category of puzzle games. Dungeon Defenders is another fun co-op game, but it's also not really puzzle-y.
Perhaps Frozen Synapse even?
There's also a great free-to-play game that got added to Steam this past year called Puzzle Pirates which I highly recommend. It's tons of fun and entirely playable for free if you don't mind having to spend a lot of in-game currency on Doubloons. The only drawback is it tends to suck up all of your free time. XD

awesomenauts its an awesome game but its not casual it take some skill but you can play it as casual if you want to

I meant more casual along the lines of being able to play a single game, lasts a few minutes, easy to learn, etc. Tetris, Columns, Bejeweled, etc. I always hear these called casual games.

Something along the lines of Bejeweled, Tetris, Columns, you know the type. My fiance wants me to find us something to play but sadly it seems like all the good games are only single player.
