Public giveaways are susceptible to auto-clickers and bots, so that's only natural that the description goes unnoticed.
As for me, I really enjoy reading descriptions, so much that sometimes I even refrain from entering giveaways if they don't have any.

So I made a public giveaway a couple days and put a hidden link in the description... It has 5 minutes left and only 4 entries (From when I posted this)! The standard public giveaway has 200 or so entries though so I guess not many people see small stuff ^_^
