...is that after some time you should have a box or a drawer full of various cables and adapters. Pictured below: several USB extension cables and converters, type C cables, a VGA cable, a DisplayPort one, a handful of 3.5 jack extension cables, male to female and female to male splitters, various VGA to DVI adapters and an old USB to PS/2 adapter, microsd adapters and other random junk that might or might not be useful in the future. Not pictured: meters of ethernet cables and some power cables too thick to fit in the drawer.
What's yours?

My whole house is the "drawer" unfortunately. Recently moved to a new house and had to box up all that stuff, holy cow... I threw out a bunch (old video cards from brands long unheard from... Voodoo, Matrox, S3 ...)

But I still managed to hold on to a lot of things... because you never know when you might need a 20-foot long RS-232 cable or a parallel port gender changer adapter, right?

I tend to be a bit of a hoarder at times so I have a few drawers with various cables. Boxes of old cards and devices. Keyboards, mice, controllers, monitors, a few old PCs.

Yeah, I ended up organizing it all in boxes. I have one with some HDMIs, VGAs, Ethernets... I think I may even have some DSLs and their filters. Damn, I even have some of those old RCA cables. But I'm all out of adapters and USBs.
