Best games of 2012 that you have played?

Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment

Guild Wars 2 by far. Sure I've only played the beta a few times including the next 72 hours once 12pm PST rolls around, but its got a release date and yea it will be teh bess gam of twenty twelve!

Dota2

I think The Walking Dead is the only 2012 game I've played, so I guess my vote will have to go to that.

Alan Wake for PC, Quantum Conundrum, CS:GO and Dota 2.
But I think the best game will be Hitman: Absolution which I've already preordered.

Stacking, Rayman Origins, Alan Wake, & Tribes Ascend stand out to me so far.

I liked Alan Wake a lot, if you can count PC version as a 2012 release. Legends of Grimrock is great, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Also, I'm currently playing Catherine and so far it's very intriguing and probably the only 2012 console game I can stand to play for extend periods of time. So that probably speaks... something.

Diablo III

I loved Mass Effect 3 and it's the only game of 2012 I've played.

I actually haven't played any games released this year yet.

LEGO Batman 2 was cool but so was The Walking Dead and Spec Ops: The Line

The Walking Dead, Risen 2, Alan Wake.

max payne 3, mass effect 3, the walking dead and trials evolution.

No games from 2012 yet.. I will definitely buy dishonored when it's out.

Mass Effect 3, great game... some ending issues, but in terms of fun and gameplay is the best...
Next? Not many good games this year...

Rayman Origins

Every game I could think of was from 2011 as well. However, Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition came out this year and I really liked that but really that's cheating because the base game came out 2011. The only other 2012 game I played wins by default:
