Just a survey, if enough will say no it probably won't even happen.

There is nothing about monetization anyhere on that. There is very little about modding as well. This might as well be seeing if people want level editors/map editors on their games and such.

I wouldn't be mad if it was for paid mods however. That would mean they would actually work on modding tools that would still increase the FREE modding scene for their games. For now, their games are very restrictive on modding, nothing more than texture or model swaps.

People are hysterically dumb. Bethesda just announced it publicly for the sake of transparency (and legal covering) but of course all major publisher, or corporations have hidden PR CMs.

They have had them for years, either internal or more generally specialised community PR agencies who not only delves into twisting rationalisation to defend products but also change consumer behaviours. And of course this has worked, for years.

I don't see how you get to that conclusion from that survey. There's absolutely nothing in that survey about paid mods, or any kind of monetization of mods/user content.

It looks to me that Ubisoft may be interested in giving more support for user created content in their games and they want to know how much interest there is with that survey.
