Multi-game giveaway puzzle II

Welcome to the second multi-game giveaway puzzle!

The structure is similar to the first one. You must solve each stage of the giveaway to advance to the next. Each challenge begins on the hour. You will have 45 minutes to solve the puzzle and unlock the private giveaway. After the giveaway ends, hints will be added to help those that are stuck. Rewards will be revealed prior to each stage start.

Unlike last time, there are no URI's to try to figure out and generate. You answer with full words (not case sensitive) and get immediate correct/wrong responses on each question. Hopefully this will take out some of the complexity and frustration from previous puzzles. It also prevents brute forcing the answers.

The giveaway is over.

  • Stage 1 reward: Shatter (there were 55 entries)
  • Stage 2 reward: Trine 2 (there were 87 entries)
  • Stage 3 reward: Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (there were 50 entries)
  • Stage 4 reward: Dead Island (there were 68 entries)
  • Stage 5 reward: Alan Wake Collectors Edition (there were 9 entries)
  • Stage 6 reward: Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning (there were 52 entries)
  • Bonus draw: Snuggle Truck (there were 65 entries)

Yep its 11 pm here, this 1 hour break is not good. I'll stay up anyways and hope I have a bigger chance since some other europeans are going to bed :P

I give up. My head is melted. It was a bit more than "mild torture"
I will say that some of the questions particually the one's which reference to games that many of us know nothing about like War of Warcrat or Wheels of Time (which I've never even hard of before now) were a bit much. So pretty please if ye deceide to have a third one, no game questions or Gummy Bear songs (I telling ye I'm going to have nightmare because of that tune).

Anyway, bitching over with, I want to give a big thanks to Jexel for the great giveaway and for the effort put into it. Till next time.

Wheel of Time is a well-known (and apparently shit) book series. As for the answer, it's not necessary to know the games. I've never played World of Warcraft, but I got the answer. All you need to do it Google things piece by piece with the right terms.

Exactly. For all of these all you NEED is Google, Actually having played the game before would be a bonus.

But, feel free to not try, 1 less person to have to lose too.

I'll admit, I haven't read it myself, but I've heard that it pales in comparison to the half as short A Song of Ice and Fire (fapfapfapfap) and it's moniker of "Waste of Time" is highly accurate.

I do plan to read it one day, but I've never, ever seen the first book. No-one seems to stock it.

lol, yea you'll either hate it or be a rabid fan of it. It gets REALLY slow paced near the middle of the series, but it's worth it. I haven't actually read A Song of Fire and Ice (it's on my never-ending backlog), so I can't compare it to that.

At times WoT is quite enjoyable and the story is alright, but Jordan had a penchant for very descriptive scenery. The first few books were great, they were basically following the fantasy-trope LOTR formula. However, the later books started to drag on, and you'll want to shoot yourself once you realize how much of the character relationships are made up of teenage drama and angst. That said, I did enjoy the books when I read them; I've finished all the Jordan books, have yet to try what Sanderson wrote in his stead.

Oh yeah and for me personally I'd rate aSoIaF and MBoTF above it, but that doesn't necessarily mean WoT is bad.
