Hey! I'd love to join! Kinda solves the whole deal of mine of getting games I genuinely want to play while finishing my backlog of games.
The game I'd like to apply with is the game I've won quite a while back, but haven't touched, 'Her Story', if that isn't an issue. Oh, and I'm a bit curious about that uploading screenshots thing; how exactly does/will that work? Thanks in advance!
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi DL4N8R! You're welcome to join by playing Her Story. In Steam you can go to Settings and there to the tab "In-Game". There you'll find the "Screenshots shortcut keys". By default this is F12. When you are playing the game, pressing F12 will make a screenshot. When you close the game, Steam will show you the screenshots made and you are able to upload them to Steam cloud. Select a few you like and press "Upload" and that's all. :)

Hi Shirl! You're very welcome to join, playing NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst will do fine. :) Please comment again once you've finished playing it.

Hi Koding! You're welcome to join. Since Achievement Hunter: Begins is your only winning and the game does have achievements, it will do. Please comment again once you've finished playing it. ;)

Actually, I'd like to create a group giveaway first, perhaps two, and then i'll play something else from my winnings in a few days :) So may i have an invite so that i am able to create said giveaway. (And perhaps a bit of guidance on how to actually make a group giveaway? i've only ever done public giveaways).
Comment has been collapsed.
That will do fine as well! :) I've approved your membership request. After syncing with SteamGifts you'll be able to create a giveaway. On the giveaway creation page you'll be able to select "Playing Appreciated" as group in step six (see screenshot). That's all to it, let me know if you have more questions. :)

I would like to join, I´m getting tired of auto-join scripts. I mean, most of my giveaways are small studio games, a few of them I´ve played myself and that´s why I give them. As long as they try the game and not just farm cards or +1 I´m ok with It. I don´t care If only 1 people enters the giveaway here.
Right now I have some keys for a soccer game that I think It´s worth It (Pixel Cup Soccer 17) and want people to really play It (doesn´t even have cards). This is the main reason why I would like to join.
Also, I gotta say that I use a private profile most of the time, I´ve never broken a rule here, you can check that with SGTools even If the profile Its setup like that. If I enter and win something here I have no problem with setting up my profile to public within the month since It´s one of the main rules, I don´t know If this is a problem. I´m not planning on entering lots of giveaways here (could be something from my wishlist I´m really dying to play and that´s It).
Also, how do you check the average time of playing for a title? and how do you guys deal with revoked keys after some time?, this last one is one of my main concerns even If I havent had a problem with this.
I can leave my profile public until you check everything is ok. If a private profile afterwards is an issue please let me know.

Hi JohnDoe333! You're welcome to join, but having a private profile is a problem - members and our group tool should be able to see a games progress in your account at any time. As for your two questions, average/story time played comes from HowLongToBeat, SteamSpy, Astats and/or reviews. Keys getting revoked has never been a problem, when a key gets revoked reach out to Support to change the feedback to Not-Received and inform the giveaway creator via the giveaway.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep this in mind next time I reach you guys because the concept is good. Have a good week ^^.

Hi victork95! You're welcome to join. As you've already played Deponia on 22 Aug, 2015, that game will not do. Please pick a game you didn't play before from your winnings that has achievements. Maybe Goodbye Deponia? (seems idled for 4.2 hours).
Comment has been collapsed.
ohh i wanted to play them in order, hmm... can it be "I am Weapon: Revival"?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, playing I am Weapon: Revival will do fine. Just a note: you have 3.7 hours on record already. Please comment again once you've finished playing the game. :)

Hi Orbs! You're welcome to join, however please pick a game you did not yet play that has achievements and comment that before you start playing it. Seeing that still leaves you with 20 games that have achievements, shouldn't be that hard. Or just keep it in mind and wait for your next hidden object win. :)

Playing Hard Reset or Red Faction will do fine! Please comment again once you've finished one of them. :)

Hi!
I think this group would work well for me. I only enter giveaways from my wishlist (which always leaves me with looooooads of points spare every day) or promotions. If I see a game on SG that sounds interesting, I check out the Steam page and reviews, and if I like it it goes onto my wishlist!
The only problem is that I can't fulfill requirement number two of joining the group. I don't have the money to giveaway games, or buy games for myself, for that matter. No spare keys lying around, because I've never bought a bundle or anything. Usually I'd just choose to complete a game I've won, except... I've never won a SG game before. ._.
So, um, I'm not really sure what to do. Is there any other way I can become eligible, or will I have to wait until I've won a game?

Thanks for the reply! I had a look through my Steam library, and... To be honest, I've already played most of my games! The ones I actually want to play, anyway. I recently got Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee when it was given away free on Steam and I considered trying to complete that, but I'm not sure I'm ready to play that one yet... It looks SUPER hard. Like, really hard. I've heard it's a cult classic, though? I'll get around to it eventually.
Anyway, I'll come back and drop another comment if/when I ever choose one to complete and qualify me, if that's okay. :3

Yep, it is! Which is weird, because the PS1 and PS2 were the consoles of my youth, so I'm kinda baffled as to why I never played it. I played a LOT of obscure retro PS games, let me tell you...
Have you played it? Is it really as hard as it looks (and everyone says it is)? I'm actually REALLY bad at platformers, especially sidescrollers. Never been able to get past Robotnik in Labyrinth Zone of Sonic 1, for instance. I just couldn't help but snap up O:AO when it was going for free and everyone talks about how great it is!

I played a LOT of obscure retro PS games, let me tell you...
well I didn't see that coming, maybe that's why you didn't play Oddworld since it was popular(?)
I'm really bad at platformer games myself
never played Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, never heard of it until last year actually but I did played a little bit of Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! and I don't think it was really hard
although at some point I got stuck on a part where you have to cross over some lasers or stuff (I forgot) then I gave up :')
Never been able to get past Robotnik in Labyrinth Zone of Sonic 1, for instance.
I'm not sure which one is this sonic I only play 1 game of Sonic though (forgot which one) not a fan :(
I prefer platformers like Mega Man series
I spent a lot of my time playing mostly RPGs in PS1 like Legend of Mana and Breath of Fire IV (ง •̀_•́)ง
good old days~

Aaaah, another sucking-at-platformers connoisseur! Nice to meet you! It's like a fine wine, isn't it? You have to really suck at them to appreciate how balls-to-the-wall hard they are...
Actually, I've never played Legend of Mana or anything from the Breath of Fire series. I've heard good things about them though, especially Legend of Mana. Maybe I should put them on my to-do list! (Which never actually shrinks.) I was in single digits age when I started on the PS1, so my list of played games looks something like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Casper, Constructor, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Theme Park World, Rugrats: Totally Angelica, Populous: The Beginning... Twisted Metal, Chef's Luv Shack...
Yeah, don't ask me how those last two got into the mix when I was that young. Actually, now that I look at it, a lot of them were licensed movie/tv games. No wonder no-one played them except me.

Nice to meet you too fellow sucking-at-platformers connoisseur!
You should put them on your list if you are into those kind of RPG
also Legend of Mana soundtracks were so good, especially this one
Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Casper, Constructor, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Theme Park World, Rugrats: Totally Angelica, Populous: The Beginning... Twisted Metal, Chef's Luv Shack...
I played like half of this list, including twisted metal (although I think I played this game when I was like 12) :D
Theme Park World is sure one of my favorite game, I know the game with the name "Sim Theme Park" though
Have the power to build crazy roller coaster, awesome race tracks, and then riding them is the best thing eveeeer ( ‾́ ◡ ‾́ )
Did you played Crash Team Racing? Would really love to play it again especially if they release a remastered version on PC (will never gonna happen though)

Indeed, congratulations! ^^ The Walking Dead will do fine, please check back once you've finished it! :)

Hi Sunisea, we are currently in the process of clearing out all our old join requests and I came across yours. I would like to know if you would still be interested to join the group?
If I won't get a reply in a week I will simply mark you as not interested to join on our list, but you would still be welcome to join once you have beaten the game :)

Hi M0lnja! You're welcome to join, members are supposed to check out the Steam Store page for the minimal playing requirements, if you know you're computer isn't the newest anymore. We never require more than 5 hours playtime, for CS:GO 5 hours playing it would be enough. ;) Please let me know how you would like to enter.

I just re read the faq and it tells me i have first to play all of the unplayed games and then ask you to join. it was my first kick .
sorry for not noticing sooner .
I will continue to play the games and when i finish them all i will tell you,
sorry for the inconvenience
edit: i played them all

No problem, no time limits here. :) I see you also won your first game now, congratulations and perhaps you can consider playing that one? Playing Half-Life 2: Episode One will do fine too. Please comment again when you finished one of them. :)

Finish games that you win? Sounds like a pretty good concept for a giveaway group! Challange accepted!
I won today wargame red dragon, plan to finish the singleplayer campaign.

The game has no achievements... they need achievements to check the progress...
Option 1: Showing your commitment by playing a previous won game on SteamGifts that you did not yet play. The game should have achievements. Comment with the name of the game and comment again when you finished playing it. Please upload some screenshots to Steam as well.

Hi Kaiserjaeger! You're welcome to join, however as Purpur3141 pointed out please pick a game that has achievements. In your case that would be Madballs in Babo:Invasion or Prisoner. Please let me know if you would be interested in playing one of them.
Comment has been collapsed.
Madballs is 4 years ago and i did tried it back then, i didn´t liked it all and in the case of prisoners i felt it´s worth to give the game a chance, also when it´s not my kind of game i usually play, because it looks interesting and deserves a try, but doesnt mean i will like it that much that i will play it till the end. So i don´t want to make a statement that i play through a game, when i am not sure that i will be able to hold my word. But thanks for the information, i will wait till i win a game with achievments that i am certainly sure i will be playing through the end.

a game that's on my to-do list too... :P
i hope you enjoy the group... :)

Hello again. Just finished it, got 4 out of 5 achievements but apparently the fifth is bugged and won't unlock 😢
(Posted a few screenshots too 🙂)
Nice little old-school point and click by the way, enjoyed it quite a bit, if anyone's interested 👍
Shame the devs don't seem interested in fixing the bugged achievement though *grumble, grumble*

Hi Sergieku! You're welcome to join, playing Shooting Stars! will do fine. Just as a note: you have 2hrs on record already due idling. Please comment again once you've finished playing it.

I have finished playing it. Some achievements like the 250+ combo don't seem to be working (at least for me), I uploaded a screenshot showing that I have beaten that score, but as you can see I don't have the achievement and the rest are too hard :/

hi~
I'm planning on joining with Option 2:
Option 2: Supporting the cause by creating a group giveaway of a game that you would like to see getting played by other group members within a month as soon as you get invited. The game should not have been given away free before (marked by ** when creating a giveaway on SteamGifts).
but.. I got some questions about the group rules (which I believe I did not found in the FAQ),
You will play games you win via this group within one month;
does this mean it's okay if members did not played games they won within a month, if they won it from another giveaway (not from this group's giveaways) regardless of how they enter the group or when they win that giveaway?
meaning that all games tracked by the group tool are only games from this group's giveaways?
because I do have games I won from giveaways here on steamgifts that I cannot (or have not) played for various reasons, one of them being my device is not up for the task :(
which leads to my next question, is there any exception for those who cannot play games they've won because of technical issues?
and third, do we need to sign up/register for other things after joining the group?
sorry if my question is redundant and thanks in advance!
p.s. I need to catch some sleep now so I will request to join later if it is okay for me to join :)

Hi philosophi! You're welcome to join. Let me answer your questions below.
does this mean it's okay if members did not played games they won within a month, if they won it from another giveaway (..)
Yes, you are free to play any other giveaway not won via this group whenever you want.
meaning that all games tracked by the group tool are only games from this group's giveaways?
Correct, only group giveaways will be tracked.
is there any exception for those who cannot play games they've won because of technical issues?
No, we expect members who know they cannot run some games to check the Steam store page for minimal playing requirements.
do we need to sign up/register for other things after joining the group?
No, there is no active member policy. You could go on a holiday for months and still be a member. As long as you keep playing your winning from the group within a month (when you join and win them) you'll be fine. :)
I hope things are clear now, if not, do let me know. :)

I'd like to join if I can. I don't fit into either of the categories mentioned though (haven't won any games on SteamGifts yet and I already gave away all my keys on here).

Hi Kiva029! Welcome to SteamGifts indeed. I hope you'll like your time here. :) Feel free to pick a game from your Steam library instead that has achievements and you didn't play before. Please comment the name of the game here before you start playing it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks. ^_^ I've been enjoying it so far.
And alrighty. Do I need to finish it or how far in it do I need to get before joining?
I'll do Bunny & Piggy. Not the biggest fan of platformers, but the characters are cute, haha.
Comment has been collapsed.
Playing Bunny & Piggy will do fine. :) Just casually finishing the main story of the game is enough (no need to get all achievements or so). I also see you won your first game, congratulations! Playing #killallzombies will be fine too.. Feel free to pick, just comment again once you've finished one. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey! So I started Bunny & Piggy, but I forgot I had to donate plasma later. It made it kind of difficult to play a platformer (and I already am really bad at platformers), so I played (and finished) Divine Slice of Life instead. I hope that's okay.
Edit: I took a picture to prove I haven't played it until today, along with some I took whilst playing the game if those are needed.
Comment has been collapsed.
That's not okay. There is no need to rush: you have all the time in the world to finish and comment again. ;) Now, as for Divine Slice of Life, you clearly used a guide, as finding all endings would take at least 3 hours. I see you won another game today (seems luck is on your side). playing Tarim will be fine as well. Although the game doesn't have achievements, so please take a bunch of screenshots instead.

Hi x2Li! You're welcome to join, however creating a giveaway for Renegade Ops Collection is not possible at this moment, you need to ask Support to add it first. Also the chance is that it will be marked as a free game, due the base game Renegade Ops being given away for free before, meaning it's not valid as entrance giveaway. You could giveaway another non-free game or you're very welcome to play one of your nine unplayed winnings instead. Please let me know. :)

Thank you for accept me, i will make one giveaway per day.
I will start with The Flame in the Flood

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 1000 members and over 25000 historical giveaways.
