I can see both viewpoints on this, but posting your win here like that is the feather that broke the camel's back. I think if you hadn't have done that we all could have just walked away from this a little wiser for next time.

Though I think it's indeed time to close the thread. Now its just people repeating what dozens have already said, needless hate and "blacklisting" (lol), and dumb memes/gifs.

Some people find it rude, hasty and invasive for the giveaway winner to add them/try to contact them. I personally sit back and wait to be contacted, if a week goes by, then I add them to ask if they do plan to gift the game eventually or they changed their mind or something, trying my best not to pressure them or seem like I'm demanding anything.

It might be the case the person got annoyed and wanted to 'teach you a lesson' (not saying it's a cool thing to do, but anyways). It also might be the case that he or she is waiting for a payment to process, or even a trader to finish the purchase before he/she can gift you the game. Before being in such a rush to report, it might be nice to know the person's reasons for acting that way. By steamgifts rules the person does have a week to give you the game.

You are the rude one, not the GA creator. Be patient and wait till he adds you before adding him (unless it has already been 7 days or mentioned in the description).
I would have done the same, just let you wait for the full 7 days.

Eh, I'll still give my two cents on it.
I find it acceptable to remind the creator after 3-4 days since I have honestly forgotten in the past unless they said something about not contacting them.
Repeadly asking is in bad taste for me, it's like an alarm clock that won't shup up.
If they don't give you the game, leave it at that and click not received.

I've also had creators remind me to check my email...I am not a person that's on top of things.

You win giveaway. Creator has 7 days to deliver said giveaway. You demand it earlier? Pretty much sums it up? Yeah that's just rude. And open a support ticket? Really? Is this why they have such a huge backlog of support tickets?

Okay, well if you don't want the giveaway any more, tell the user to reroll it and we'll happily do it for you. Harassing gifters is not cool. If they're busy and don't have time to send the gift, they're busy and they don't have time to send the gift. After a couple of days, make a hello post if necessary, but spamming their profile when it's obvious they don't want your posts is far ruder than anything they did or didn't do.
