The "Uncharted" Series is pretty good if you like adventure games.

Little Big Planet 1 and 2, Uncharted series and Heavy Rain. I haven't played Last of Us because I gave up on PS3 when I got my PC but since it is made by Naughty Dog (who make Uncharted) I should imagine it would be amazing.

Also, get: LittleBigPlanet 2, Heavy Rain: Director's Cut (includes 3 dynamic themes, a short DLC and OST), SSX, PSASBR (it's a nice, short game, best enjoyed with friends), upcoming Gran Turismo 6 (it's like GT5 with more content), VANQUISH, Ratchet & Clank Future games (there's an EU dual pack, and there's an upcoming last game on a few months on PS3), CATHERINE (awesome and challenging puzzle game) and Red Dead Redemption.

Ok , lets go : Uncharted Series,Metal Gear Solid Series, God Of War Series, Heavy Rain, The Last of Us , Infamous 1 and 2 , LBP Series , Ni No Kuni , Journey , GT 5... and wait just a few months and get "Beyond: Two Souls" and Rain

Uncharted 2 is a fun shooter, The last of us is a nice survival game, metal gear solid legacy collection is pretty nice too if you never played the series just remember to play them on release order not chronological, Demon souls it's a really fun challenging game, Journey is a nice "expirience" there is not much gameplay to it but still its a really nice "expirience" the physical version includes 2 more games and it's a pretty nice deal for what you get, Heavy Rain if you want a good laugh, its horrible as a story, the animations are kinda weird and the twist it's jut stupid just consider it if you want to laugh at that, The God of War series, don't expect Devil May Cry (the old ones) or Ninja Gaiden levels of difficulty but the combat, QTE and story are pretty fun because of how brutal it is. It's just mindless fun and The infamous series are pretty good sandbox games if you are into superheroes.

That and get PSN+ if you can free games each month.

I heard good things about Killzone and Resistance but i only played the online of KZ3 and it's alright, i don't know about the campaign.

If you haven't played Shadow of the colossus or Ico on the PS2, Definitely recommend getting the Ico collection.

Halo Reach

I just bought one a couple weeks ago and am loving it. I have played the Uncharted games and they are great. Just bought Ni No Kuni on sale and am currently playing and loving it. Also the InFamous series, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Ratchet and Clank series are supposed to be really good though I have never played them. There is also a game called 3D Dot Game Heroes, it is an Homage of sorts to old school adventure games (like the old Legend of Zelda games), if you like those types of games you may want to check that game out too.
