I would recommend Playstation Plus. For a very low monthly subscription you get to play many great games such as Okami HD, Shadow of the Colossus HD, Ico HD, Hitman Absolution, Mass Effect 3, Red Dead Redemption, etc.

Those games are over now, but you will most likely get equally good games. This month's games is; Mafia 2, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Spec Ops: The line. - There are two Vita games as well, and one of these games is When Vikings Attack, which is a cross-buy game which means that you can play it on your PS3 as well.

Besides this month's games there are the games;

XCOM: Enemy unknown, Uncharted 3: Drake's Fortune, Saint's Row The Third, PayDay The Heist, Little Big Planet Karting, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD double Pack (It is actually still free for PS+ members!), and Demon's Souls.

Of course it is required to have a constant subscription to PS+ in order for you to keep playing these games, but the monthly price is very low.

Also, I would gladly recommend you to buy the Spyro and the Crash Bandicoot games on PSN! Great games even though they are from the PS1 era.

Demon souls, The last of us, Uncharted 1+2+3, Infamous 1+2, Enslaved, God Of War Saga, Tokyo Jungle, Ni No Kuni, Red Dead Redemption, Journey, Dragon's Crown Yakuza series and maybe Fat princess, Resistance saga, killzone saga and metal gear Solid Saga.

But yes you should hav waited when they released PS4 it will probably get pricedropped.

I would recommend subsribing to PS+ first... there's something about 12 games atm... and moar next month... it's best rental system ever :)
