while I find it great that the devs release a new DLC for free for a limited time, I don't understand why the former DLC have to be 5 eur each? if I wanted to buy all the former DLC characters, I would have to spend 20 eur while the game itself is 14 eur! seriously devs?!

I'm not going to wait for a GOTY edition because I already have the game and I doubt there will be any. it is an indie game and it looks like the devs keep continuing development for new characters. sure I will have to wait for a sale (or a bundle) in order to get a hold of the other characters.
