1) Queen has been one of my favorite bands since I was about 5. "Live Magic" may be the first CD I ever owned (that or the Angus soundtrack, heh). Studio Queen has always been a bit hit and miss with me, but watching them perform live is incredible. I can't quite put my finger on why, but there's something about Freddie's performance that makes me love even the songs I'm less fond of when watching their concert films.
2) I like Radiohead when I hear them, but outside of Creep and most of Kid A, most of their music completely fails to make a lasting impression on me. I'm not sure why, but I sincerely doubt I could correctly identify more than a couple other songs even if I've heard them a number of times. I'm also not sure why Kid A is an exception to this, but I do really like that album.
3) A complete enigma to me. Plenty of people whose taste I generally agree with have emphatically recommended it to me. I've tried listening to it at least 4 or 5 times separated by several months or years thinking maybe I just didn't give it a fair chance, and every time just reinforces my opinion that this album is not for me.
tl;dr version: amazing, pleasant but not essential, and wtf.

Either : (i) An undemocratically elected Head of State, or (ii) One of the greatest live band of all time that have loads of classic tunes (and a couple af bad ones too)
Great band that have loads of classic tunes
It's ok, but it doesn't do anything for me. Would prefer to hear a live version.

1) The queen is secretly a gremlin but disguises her self as a fragile old woman. during the night she goes round eating little children to regenerate her youthfulness and has a secret team of kid nappers (the popes) to catch the children.
2) probably smell like beo and KFC
3) Titanic- "I'm flying jack I'm flying"
:D

Onslaught wall of text incoming, because you're talking about two of my favorite bands here.
1) The best way to describe Queen's music and stage persona, is plain, fuckin' fun. Songs like Bicycle Race and Bohemian Rhapsody are fun to listen to and to sing aloud with your drunk friends. I think that was the secret to their success, as hit tunes like "Another One Bites the Dust" became popular because they made you want to bob your head and sing along. It's just not any kind of fun either- Queen had this badass, rebellious edge to their music. And there's just something very soulful and unmistakable about Freddie Mercury's flamboyant voice and charisma, and that contributed to this very specific sound that Queen had. The rock bands that stand out among the crowd are the ones with that unique characteristic in their sound- it cannot be reproduced by any other artist/band, ever, and Queen definitely had that sort of talent. Plus, Queen was one of the most influential bands of their time, because when you listen to modern bands, it's very obvious how their rock+choral infusion popularized rock operas. That operatic feel is there, from My Chemical Romance (Black Parade) to Green Day (American Idiot) to Arcade Fire (The Suburbs) to The Protomen (Act 2), and many more. Mad respect for the choir boys of Queen for producing rock opera at its best.
2) Radiohead is probably one of the most innovative bands out there right now, and I love their unconventional approach to music. It's been really fun watching the band mature from Pablo Honey to King of Limbs; they've really created something unique of their own, and I appreciate how Radiohead seems to be experimenting with and putting more emphasis with harmony more than melody in their more recent works, because the result is a nice deviant from the usual crap you hear on the radio. Their music is ethereal, disturbing, and somewhat spiritual at the same time- it's insanely difficult describe their music but it immerses you and you feel like you're being teleported out of this world or something when you listen to songs like Weird Fishes Arpeggi or Feral. There's probably some crazy theory involved with how they develop their tonalities and harmonies... As a musician, I usually have a pretty good idea of how music is created, but with Radiohead I just throw up my hands and call it witchcraft. As with Queen, Radiohead has this indescribable quality to their music that deserves a genre of its own. Although avant-garde rock isn't quite mainstream, I can definitely see how it'll influence new generations of rock. They've definitely influenced how I make and perceive music.
Without a strong frontman, a band is nothing, and Thom Yorke has to be my favorite singer of all time- he has this floaty, dreamy falsetto that nobody else can really pull off. And there are also these little details, nuances that he sings with; the way Yorke ends a phrase or takes a breath or does a glissando makes his singing really tasteful. He is very sensitive about his music and that's the mark of a great artist. And I mean, how can you not love this guy?
Of course, Creep is one of my favorite songs. It's so timeless and raw emotion and, jesus christ
3) As most folks have said before I haven't heard In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, but I had a quick listen of the album, and NMH seems okay for an indie band. Nothing terribly special, but not hopeless either. Most indie bands tend to sound the same after a while, and it's hard to decide whether Neutral Milk Hotel falls into that category and whether they have anything new to offer, musically. Their acoustics are cliche at times, and I wish the singer's vocal range was broader. Variation is key when judging a band. The reoccurring use of band instruments (like in The Fool and Communist Daughter) was interesting, but their fast passages, like Holland, 1945, I didn't really hear any sort of energy- it's just loud and fast. That's the case with a lot of their songs- there is a direction and some semblance of a theme, but where is it going? Ghost and The King of Carrot Flowers were the only songs I liked, but the rest of the album just wasn't my cup of tea.

1.- Queen: one of the best Rock bands ever. Not only for the awesomeness of Mercury + May & Co, but they really knew how to write songs, and they were amazing liver performers.
2.- Radiohead, probably one of the most revolutionary rock bands of the 90's - 00's, more than a breath of fresh air, a new rock legend.

1) Queen is way before my time but they are definitely classic.
2) Radiohead isnt my most favorite band ever but I generally like British rock. Its not the kinda of music I would go out, buy and then listen to myself.
3) Ummmm, to be honest I dont really listen to much indie but Neutral Milk Hotel is pretty good.

i like Bellsprout. one of my favourite Pokemon.
1) Queen are one of the best bands i've heard, i grew up on their Platinum album.
2) Radiohead are pretty decent, in my opinion. Not heard a great deal, but that of what i have listened to. is noisy, yet relevant. and therfor interesting.
3) My father actually has the Vinyl of this. He seems to believe every album he comes across will someday be worth a small fortune. Never taken the time to listen though. Probably because he's always playing Duke Ellington D:
i have gone so far out the box, i have 0% chance of entry, but thank you anyway, got me to download a copy of the album, i shall listen soon.

Queen: can't say I listen to a lot of their work, but the few I love is epic masterpiece (Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, Another One Bites the Dust, Under Pressure with David friggin' Bowie!).
I'm less of a fan of the most known songs (We Are the Champions, We Will Rock You, I Want to Break Free...), mostly because I find them too repetitive and heard them way too many times everywhere...
Radiohead: love Pablo Honey, The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac. Haven't listened to the recent stuff. As one can see here http://www.lastfm.fr/user/Ptival I have listened to them a lot. Love Thom Yorke as an artist who (used to) not give a shit about looks, just doing awesome, trippy music.
In The Aeroplane Over The Sea: never heard of this album, neither of the band Neutral Milk Hotel :\ The song sounds cool.
