They are currently 7/9 of the way to their goal in only three hours. At this rate, they should reach their goal before the day is half over.

Not to worry.... You can wait for the game to come out, get reviewed, hear about everyone else enjoying it immensely, and then wait for it to go on sale for $40 at some point in the future so that you can finally buy a copy for yourself.

With almost all Kickstarter projects it starts fast, then slows down a lot and keeps going very slowly for most of the duration, only to speed up a lot again just before the end. I don't doubt that it'll be the same for this game.

I pledged as soon as I could, then read the whole thing and watched their video etc, then went on to FINALLY start playing Planescape: Torment. My body is ready.

If you've never played Planescape, before, you're in for a treat. Just play it like a novel. (The in-game conversations are like a book, already.) It's an experience like no other.

Awesome, yeah it is my first time playing it, I bought some complete D&D game collection recently and Planescape is in there too, I installed them all, but didn't try any of them out yet until today. Also, on the official Torment site on the Kickstarter page, there is a guide for mods, so I installed those first to make sure I'd enjoy this as much as possible.

This result only confirms what I said... that this game never needed a kickstarter in a first place. If only Fargo wanted to look for investors (not even a publisher) - he would easily got these $900k that he needed. It's a well-known franchise, with a well-known people behind it... I know he would get them, because Larian was able to get theirs for their own Isometric cRPG Project. I only fear that one day, we won't get a game like FTL: Faster Than Light, because its going to be buried under multiple projects of people, that would be able to get money for games they needed, if they bothered to look for it.
