read Lovecraft like 20 years ago and i cannot remember all of them, the last were great, but i'll say Dagon for being the very first i read.

In the Mountains of Madness, and The Case of Charles Dexter Ward are my favorites among the short novels.
I also have a soft spot for this Lovecraft short tale, I think that everyone should read it because it's one of the most beautiful, sad and moving stories ever written.
