Hello! Will you buy this Postal Bundle?
You are welcome <3
And yeah, definitely buying this since I'm missing a lot of them including a purchase disabled one! ^^
Also, I had a feeling there would be at least 1 game I would have bought in Summer Sale that would end in a bundle. Which is why I didn't buy much from Steam yet. :3 woo!

Why do companies think it's a good idea to give out keys to any random group of folks like water? When did this become a thing?
Comment has been collapsed.
because games which don't sell, don't get reviewed, so new players will pass it over. So rather than have that happen, give out a hundred or so keys which cost you nothing, even if only half those keys give you a review you now have 50 reviews which other gamers can see and use as a guide to buy your game.
It's a win win since... nobody buying your game with no reviews sucks, having a few people buying your game with some reviews is always better than nobody buying it.
The only issues arises when the company only gives keys if you promise to give positive reviews.. Then the reviews can't be trusted, it's also a violation of steams TOS and can result in your game being removed, or purchase disabled, even if the publisher/developer didn't know the Publisher/developer gave the key with the promise of positive review..
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, but the problem is, they're not just giving out a hundred or so keys, but a thousand or more sometimes.

giving away keys doesn't assure you'll get a positive review.. These are games which aren't selling at all, every key which gets redeemed raises the game up the popular games list. Which can get it some exposure and lead to sales. If you have a game which isn't selling you do whatever you can to try and drum up some sales.. Whether that be a few hundred or 50,000 keys..

"Also, I had a feeling there would be at least 1 game I would have bought in Summer Sale that would end in a bundle."
I'm actually amazed that more of them haven't. I would go ahead and get a refund, but I'll just give the copy from this away.
Also, I'm surprised that such a highly rated game is being disounted so low and being bundled at the same time. Why do that? It's another example of a company that seems like it's giving up and just going for whatever money they can get going forward.

Almost bought "Six Sides of the World" when the summer sale launched (I thought it was a price error), but steam didn't let because of the usual traffic at the beginning at the event, so after two hours I gave up. Instead I decided to wait and see what the bundles bring before buying anything. :) Worked out well with at least 1 game so far so. :P
But yes, it is a bit surprising. Especially as you said - a highly rated game - getting such a big discount and ofc being bundled. But what's even more interesting is that they used to be 14.99 €/$, and now the base price is at 7.99 €/$.
I don't know.. Maybe they just wanted more people to enjoy their games? But it does seems like giving up and grabbing what they can indeed.

Thank you Rachel! ^^
Missing two for the moment. :-)

Now that's unusual! ^^
I won Headshot (thank you Yoshi!) and the other two must have been bought on Steam when there were major or smaller sales. :-)

I liked that movie, don't be afraid of the dark. :D

Did you really just went through months of replies to find that? Wow...Also, who's to say I was the only one using that gif on you or that I'm the only one afraid to touch you, when you breaking brooms and using scissors all over the place? D:<
What's wrong with being touched by a broom, would you prefer to be touched by a carrot instead?
Comment has been collapsed.
Maybe. :X I had to proof it to you! And because those two times are the only times someone used that gif on me. :P I got a good memory.
Lmaoooooooo! Alright, alright.. True xD! Maybe I have been scaring people a bit.. but it's for the greater good! :3
But yeah irl people always sit next to be in busses, trains, etc and on the street they always ask me for direction, or ask if I want to donate every month to blabla charity, and friends in general and parties too ofc. So yeah, doesn't feel like anyone is afraid to touch me lol. Can't say for sure though ofc. :p
And what is that question? OFC I rather be touched by a carrot! Silly question! xD :P
Comment has been collapsed.
If you had a good memory you would be sure it was me, instead of asking. I'm a bit confused now, should I feel flattered and special since you went through all that trouble just to prove something to me? O.o
Scaring someone for the greater good? That doesn't seem like something someone nice would say...
Throughout history there were plenty of bad people that had friends, people asking them questions, asking them for direction and what to do, that didn't mean those people liked or weren't afraid of doing so...also, people asking you if you want to donate for charity? They do it because it's their job. :P Not only that but people probably look at you and think, that's an innocent and friendly girl, it should be fine to sit and talk to her but if they knew you any better, it would be a different story. >:)

After I thought about it for a while I remembered it was you, and it was one of the bundle threads, so I checked Rachel's threads that were older than 1 month. Took a little while but I found it in the end! So I guess you can feel flattered. ^^
And yes! Scaring them into doing the right thing! :P (Activating their games, no regifting and showing gratitude after winning)
Yeah okay, true.. But it feels like they go more towards me or ask me questions than other people around lol. Hahahaha, hush hush!! Strangers don't need to know anything xD And thanks for the gif! xD

I'm considering participating in my first Group buy and since you mentioned sometime how much money you saved over time using Group Buys I thought you'd be the perfect person to ask ;)
I think I understand the concept and I've already reserved and am now waiting for HH and more buyers to make round 2 of that split happen. What I'm a little unclear about is how to transfer money with Paypal to a private person since I've never done that before. I only know I'll have to add a message saying that it's a transaction to friends or family and that I waive my right to do a chargeback and will carry the fees.
Do you maybe have any pointers on that or is there anything else I should be aware of ?
Edit: On an unrelated note: I've always found it a little sexist that you don't threaten as well to use your scissors as a very unsuitable stress relief toy in case you get an ungrateful female winner but that might be due to the demographics of SteamGifts :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Cool! It will probably help you out a lot! :D However, in this very case I'm unfortunately not the right person to ask.. :)
You need to ask SickTeddyBear or eeev how it works ^^'
But yes, always pick 'friends or family' option, you'll pay less fees that way! The fees aren't that big!
Regarding the unrelated note: Haha, pff!! One could just imagine it being a nipple! Then it counts for both sexes! :D But yes, I'm pretty sure there are more men than females on this site^^' However, I am actually surprised that there are so many females here.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ow ok, then it was the other way around. I remembered it was a conversation between you and eeev but I mix up stuff like that a lot :D
I'm tempted to post a "Men don't need nipples" GIF from when Daenerys buys her army of Unsullied (so many ungrateful GA winners :D) in GoT but I'm writing from my phone right now so just imagine one ;)

Crowdsourcing FTW :D
Indeed. But I actually felt worse about them having to kill a puppy they get when they start being trained as Unsullied and have raised for years. Granted they also have to kill a baby in front of it's mother but... PUPPY :(

Thanks for your trust! It's really easy. In Paypal you choose to send money (pic1), then you choose the friends and family option (pic2) because it involves no fees for the seller. You are then asked to enter the email adress you want to send money to. Insert the adress you've been given by your host. Some give it to you in a private chat message, some simply post it in the topic regarding the particular bundle you reserved. After you've put in the adress the next step is to insert the desired amount (don't forget to change currency!) and there you have the chance to enter a note. I always leave it in the following format
Bundle name
Steam nick: ev
Please send to xyz@email.com
Thanks for hosting
My final step is letting the host know I sent the monies by leaving a post in the thread on group buys "Payment sent." Usually it takes mere minutes until my bundle arrives in my inbox.
Hope that was helpful :) Lemme know if you have more questions.

be careful last two sales, the longer you waited the less the deals were. I remember last day of the sale last year games gradually got less and less discounted, some removed from the sale completely the last day.
It was like 12500 at peak sale time, the last day only 6k games were on sale. Waiting too long may result in the game you wanting having the discount raised or removed totally...

Good point, that said the nuveem sale seems to be the winner this time around for me. I think I made up my mind, I'll buy 2 or 3 things from steam, both current bundles from HB (sonic t3 and android t2) and a couple games from nuveem. And that will be this year sale for me.

it's always a good idea to check around the various other sites before you commit to buying a game on steam, especially a game priced over 5 dollars.. You're very likely to find it cheaper on another site due to coupon codes or just a better discount. If the site gives a steam key, it doesn't make a difference if you buy it on steam or the other site, so go with whatever is the cheapest... unless of course that site is G to the A, then yeah, probably don't buy it from them..

I am glad that I have not buy Six Sides of the World at Steam shop.

Isn't there DLC for Portal 2? amazing it's not in the bundle
Comment has been collapsed.
Why is it amazing? The game is old, so it's OK to bundle. The DLC is newer and generating lots of money for them, so it makes no sense to bundle. In fact, the whole point of bundling the base game is that anyone who doesn't already have it might like it, and want to get the DLC later. That's how logical and rational business works, by not giving the good stuff away for cheap.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh thought the DLC would have been made not long after the game was made, I can't view the steam page sadly so can't purchase it through there, when was the DLC made? just thought a bundle called Go Postal would be more Postalie
Comment has been collapsed.
According to the store page the DLC got released 14th April 2015. So only a year old. Plus it's 80% off atm, so it's bearable! :)
And as SickTeddyBear said, business! They can't "give" all of it away. Would be stupid :) One needs to earn profit some way.

Only reason I would buy yhis would be for postal 2. Already own that game so a no for me.

It appears like ZombieRush and Rapid Squirrel in the last couple of bundles, this may be the only chance to pick up Lands Of Devastation since it's no longer available to purchase.

Yeah reading the reviews, I know I should stay away from Postal 3 but there is still a part of me that is curious about it anyway. I guess I just want to throw cats at people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
unless you're a Ron Jeremy or Sarah Palin fan
Why's that? Are there any references about them in-game?

Postal 2 has been bundled at least three times before, I believe. The Orb Chambers is also currently in OtakuMakers Bundle Mix #2.
