Is Rocket League any good?

Ohh heck yes, it's good. Even without friends.

It's one of the few multiplayer games that's actually really fun even without friends.

It's a little light on content but the game has enough depth to keep you interested even without tons of content, as even 100 hours in you'll still have plenty to learn and experience. As for friends, you'll probably even end up making some just by playing public and it's still really fun without.

Most people likes it but i just couldn't get into it. Thankfully my friends bought it for me :P

Guess at £8.99 in the sale it's definately worth picking up ;)

Conceptually, it's a very simple game to play, so it's understandable that you question its depth, but the skill ceiling is surprisingly high. As with any multiplayer game, I find it much more fun with friends, but the game is still fun in its own right, and if the lack of friends to play with is the main thing that's holding you back, consider joining the Rocket League Fair Play group. :)

I'm one of the very few people who doesn't like it, it seems. All my friends love to play it, but for me it becomes very boring and repetitive, very fast. It's basically soccer but with a car, so eh.

It's one of those easy to pick up but hard to master games. But that can be a problem as well: If you're not willing to put in the time and effort you'll be helplessly lost in ranked matches which can be quite frustrating.
