I think the first thing I bought on Steam was Terraria the day it came out, before that I had a couple free to play games, hard to remember though!

How about you guys?

EDIT: So Terraria was actually a gift from a friends account, but I was at his house at the time and I gave him money to buy it, so technically it was my first purchase even though it's listed as a gift, but after that was Magicka

i was thinking : i create steam account just to chat with my friends when i play cracked games.

one day a friend of mine gaved me a key of orange box with the reason to be able to add friends.

he was like a drug dealer, i becomed steam addict and i started to buy alot of games on steam with my small budget.

Wallet wise, steam is worse than weed. If dealers had these promos all world would smoke.

The Orange Box because Team Fortress 2 was un-crackable then... and it was on a good sale. :P

Played on russian (hell yeah, lol) servers while it was beta. Got dissapointed, because so much was changed from TFC, however still bought it about a month after release.

It sure as hell wasn't uncrackable.

Maybe, but it's crack was shit. With the number of updates the game regularly gets, it was impossible to keep a decent cracked version up to date without having to jump trough hoops all the time. Remembering what a nightmare finding servers for Left 4 Dead 2 was, I'd guess the TF2 servers may have been problematic too had I actually gotten there. :P

While my first purchase on this Steam account is a Team Fortress 2 hat, my real purchase goes back to Half-life 1 before the creation of Steam. Shame i lost my first account.

Nothing :/

Everything I have came from Amazon, bundles, giveaways, trades, friends, getgames, etc.

If you count the first game I bought to be activated on Steam, Sonic Generations

My friend insisted I play Garry's Mod but I needed a Source game, so my first purchase was Half Life 2: Ep 1 and then Garry's Mod, back in 2009
Still play Garry's Mod often, has the most hours out of any game in my library
