The link has been removed, and I think it is unlikely they will release the second one first. Check out the article I posted in my OP. However, according to the leaks, they might just do that - release the second and third installment first, then the first one. Who knows? shrug

Mafia 1 Remake is probably the best thing Hangar 13 (& 2K) could do. Can't wait to see the gameplay, hopefully they won't change it that much :P

According to this leak from one month ago, original games you already own will be removed from your library and will be replaced with the definitve editions. Similar to the **** Rockstar pulled a few weeks ago.
"If you already own Mafia 1, 2 and 3 on PC (Steam) the games will be removed from your library, and Steam will automatically change it to Mafia - Def. Edition. (Similar to what R* did with their GTA Complete Edition Re-Release)."
Oh, and:
Mafia - Def. Edition will be available exclusively on EGS for 6 months.

You're welcome. But please don't label it as "news". It is a leak that was proven to be wrong in some things, so at this time (May 14th 2020) we don't really know if all the other things in the leak will be true or false.
P.S.: If you want to add news, you can add the leaked screenshots from the Microsoft Store (store page now pulled).

Nothing is certain due to it being a leak.
The leak suggests:
- you own 2 and 3 but not 1, 2 and 3 will be replaced with their respecting def. editions
- you own 1, 2 and 3, they all get removed and you will get one new game: the def. trilogy

The first Mafia is in my top 10 games of all time. Seeing a beautiful remake of it coming, with new additional missions, is a reason to rejoice. Would never have believed this happening.

It's probably too much to ask, but I wish they could add some free-roaming in Mafia II Remaster this time. I liked the game but being so forced to go from point A to point B 99% of the time was incredibly underwhelming. You could only explore the city on your way home or while going to the mission marker
