First of all there's no giveaways in here. I'm saying the truth this time :)
I'm here to request everyone help with a petition to make sony release a archive of a closed website.

It has been a long time since the PS2 Linux site closed down with the promise that a archive containing all posts and code will be posted by November 2010 . That date is already gone , and even after repeated reminders to SCEE , the archive hasn't been posted .

SCEE says that "it is not aware of a strong need from users to get the archive posted" . So please sign the petition at the following link to show them that the PS2 community is still alive , and it needs the archive .

(Seems like the petition site is broken!!!! Analyzing what to do...:S)

Official website www.playstation2-linux.com
Currently there's a incomplete copy of the website created with httrack located @ ps2linux.no-ip.info witch i'm the current host.

Thanks for the attention.

I'm pretty much a fan of PS2 (even though I only recently obtained one that doesn't even work), and I'm trying to get mine to work already, but could you remind me what it is that should be posted? I'm not sure really... Is that a PS2 emulator for Linux? Or a Linux O/S to run on PS2? Source codes? Candy?

There was a official Sony Linux ps2 kit to use the console as a linux computer.
Wikipedia: Linux for PlayStation_2
That was the official site to share software/sourcecode/manuals for it.
After that a version that didn't required that showed up. One could run linux on a exploited ps2 from the hdd or usb disk (slim models). It's called KernelLoader
Currently there's people trying bring linux 2.6 kernel to the ps2 but that would be faster if they could have acess to information that was on that website!
