Haha. xD It is! But a big part of winning giveaways is the feeling of being lucky (at least for me) and so that feeling is multiplied when you win a triple A game, being that the chances are at lot less.

sure, but obviously that is rare to happen and for being here just 2 months you got quite a bit already ;-) it usually takes considerably longer and seeing you own many top titles like GTA5,Fallout4,Witcher3 and JustCause3 already, you obviously can't win them anymore ;-) (shouldn't have bought them then haha)

I won Tomb Raider 1-3 that i have on hard copy and probably won't touch besides collecting all those games.. Never won a game i want to play but hey i wasn't expecting to win anything when i started so :)

If it was a key it had to be fake, sorry ;) There are NO keys for Steam version of GTA5. All retailers other than Steam offers only Rockstar Games Social Club, Steam version of the game is available ONLY ons Steam, so it can only come in form of a gift copy ;)
Anyway - feel sorry for you, remember to report the guy - Misleading GA will not only mean his GA slot lost after you mark as not received but will also result in 3 day suspension (or more if it's not the first time he pulled this off).

You can get Steam GTA V keys, you just need to go to a physical store to do so. If you know where to look for them. I've seen them in Canada, just like I've seen cards for ARK, I'm sure i I call my local game store they'll have them in stock. So there are steam keys available, it's just not widely known. Accidentally deleted my post, sorry about that.

I didn't even notice that, but yeah I've been seeing Ark being sold in stores on steam cards with the Canadian price. They don't go on sale at the same time as steam sales though, it's better to buy it online.

The creator of the giveaway has seven days to deliver the correct gift. If they fail to do so, you should mark the gift "not received." If you think the person did it on purpose, you may also report him or her for "misleading giveaway" using the Support function.
PS. (Anything else the creator sends you is up to him or her, but it does not remove the obligation to deliver the promised game.)

probably tried to fool you with another game... and the only keys for gta5 are for rockstar, not steam. *facepalm*
well, at least that game has CARDS, now you can idle it and trade it for gta 5*.

Sorry but guessing you just learned to check the feedback of gifter before entering any GA let alone AAA titles. As a rule of thumb unless the gifter clearly states he is going to give the game in the description, stay away from all GA that gifter has not gifted before since most newcomers do not read the rules and assume; I create a GA and nice people here "gimme da game for free".

..you win a GTA V giveaway only to find out later that the key was for Melissa K and the heart of Gold. It hurts more when it's a AAA game
