I am planning to buy terraria for a friend, my benefit is because we can play it together right? Well it's still on the to do list. However this topic is about what i did before hand.

I bought for someone in a group I'm part of, a Just Cause Collection, it was cheap and on their wishlist. I gave it to them and they were so happy! ^^ I felt so good about myself for doing it, sure I'm out a chance for Soul Reaver 2, or a possible yet unlikely super-mega sale in the next days, but Otherwise i am proud. So happy ^^

Have you ever done any spontaneous gifting outside SG, and ultimately outside of your plans despite the would-be loss of purchases that were planned for yourself? And to add to it, were you on a limited budget as well? I sure was!

Yeah, if you take too much of it it'll suck all your money and then next thing you know you're behind bars.

Well, in the last Summer Sale I had ten bucks only to spend, and decided to buy Postal 2 for a friend and Deus Ex: Human Revolution to other. Only buying The Basement Collection for me, in the end.

And then one of those friends offered me Secret World, which is 10x more expensive than Postal 2 xD
But yes, it did felt good to offer that to them.

As much as I love gifting stuff (not games in particular) I still disgusted by it, too much of a goody-goody thing to like doing, even tho technically gifting is more of a selfish drive than a selfless one. (Enjoying gifting just proves it)

EDIT: Tho gifting things thru a giveaway doesn't give me exactly the same feel, because what so fun in gifting something is the surprise and the excitement the receiver has, but with a giveaway the person is already kinda expecting it, so it doesn't have the same feel.

Its what makes miracles happen, but only after the "Budget" is mysteriously gone. Like a Fortune cookie, the Miracle is the Fortune, the Budget is the cookie- Fortune reads "Shouldn't have ate that Cookie"
