...I've been on my second day with them (Taking 10 mg every 24 hours).

Right now, as I am writing, an hour ago, I woke up, then started to feel chilly... Like if a cold when all over my body, around my spine...

It was kind of terrifying, even my legs were trembling when going down the stairs to my room, I asked my mother if I had any fever, which she said I hadn't...

Maybe the drug (Paxil) is not the right one for me... This is what I was fearing for... Now I want to stop taking them, but I'm not sure if I'm already addicted or something :(

I'll talk to my psychiatrist about it, but I want an opinion on the matter...

Should I stop taking them since I just started it? Or continue with a lower dosage?

Thank you for your answers.

Read the recipe of the drug if the side effects are listed there, if not talk to your psychiatrist/doctor.

Before you freak out, about my next statement, your doctor studied for this so he knows what he/she is doing!
What you need to know is that there numerous kinds of anti depressents.

Antidepressents are very tricky, it is not like the flue, describing a medicine and you will get better. The problem here is that they arent entirely sure why the medicine have this effect (was found by accident). They have theories but there are also research papers that could possibly debunk those theories, but they arent sure yet if the margins shown in the research are dismissible or not.

Further more because of that everybody seems to react different on the medicine, so it is kinda a trial and error to find the right sort and dossage for each new patient.

So they start with medicine that most people react good on, and from there they will look what the effect and reaction is and, will adjust accordingly from there, to maximize the effect they are going for and minimizing the side effects.

So tldr go to your doctor to get it looked at and get an adjustment if deemed nessisary.
And just like amidot says Therapy is better over drugs. There are places where they only use drugs as a last resort.

Why are drugs used so much? because patients ask for it. In the last decades pharmaceutical companies made so much advertisements about it, (even while they knew about the bad side-effects) to be a wonder medicine, That doctors have to perscripe because in my country at least it is law if a patient asks for a certain treatment, they have to give it (if the treatment is a possibillity for the sickness).
And giving medicine is far easier then therapy

talk to the psych, definitely. I've never experienced that, but your mileage may vary. Don't be too surprised if you have to go through a few meds to get to one that will a-affect your depression (positively), b-still work at the levels you need, and c-doesn't have any bad side effects (or at least ones you mind). hang in there.

fwiw, i found having both drug and behavioural therapy was needed - i was so depressed for so long that my mind got used to thinking in depressive logic. The drugs alleviated the physical issue enough that i could deal with my thought patterns.

Never change medicine dosage on your own. If you feel really bad then call the doc and tell them about it, and ask if you could stop it (it can be a passing side effect, they'll know it better). Also if you really have mixed feelings about it but you have to wait for an appointment, consider writing a diary about how you feel since medication. Energy level, appetite, any discomfort, trouble focusing, sleeping, etc. It can be a valuable input for the doctor if the dosage would be off.

either unrelated to the drug, typical symptom (don't know that specific drug), anxiety attack like one said...but as it is a SSRI it also reminds me of my Serotonin syndrome few months ago... happens when taking another SSRI or just more Serotonin (even Saint John's wort and Tryptophan) or even Kanna
could be, if you take other medicine

with my current AD (no SSRI) I can't even take medicine against cough because then I get something similar
