Did you bought something with this amazing coupon?
It could even be a 1000$ coupon and I still wouldn't create an account on EGS.

Thank you! Is this coupon have unlimited time to use or only for 28.02.2022?

i just bought mount and blade bannerlord during epic winter sale, so no money for new games currently

Bit the bullet and decided to get.
Came up to $5.26
Only risky purchase was Huntdown, doubt the rest will be in bundles any time soon. If you can't buy add-ons, just buy the editions.

I am interested in two games, but I am unsure what to do: wait for a better sale, etc.?
Songs for a Hero - Definitive Edition
The Captain

its better to get less by 12% from 100 copies x50$ or 30% from 115copies x50$?
3900 vs 4025 with only 15 sold copies difference? + less angry customers, who cant/wont buy from epic
Also if there is no exclusivity for Epic-you can earn both 3900 and 4025-pl choice.
And even ppl choose Steam over Epic u earning more and more
You dont need to pay anything to 'sell' more copies, u have game already completed and published, so everything is profit
You know that Steam is much bigger than Epic in case of buyers/community, have better layout, shop, have cloud saves, steam overlay, forums, discusions, reviews, mods, guides etc etc
Also: Steam app is not fishy like EGLauncher

4400 vs 4025
You should double check your math before making your point based on it.
You used 22% instead of the 12%
For the Dev revenue on Steam to be higher it has to sell 125+ copies, so you need to sell a quarter more copies on Steam to get same profit as in Epic.
Also Epic pays well to get exlcusives so they would need to sell extra thousands of copies on Steam to match that.

just missclick, but you got my point.
yet steam has lot more potential and userbase than epic, so going exclusive is just digging own grave

Steam actually is impressive it manages to have an monopoly on the PC game market and the userbase actually defends it to the death.
Steam has more exclusives than Epic and some of those you can't even buy outside Steam store, so even if you want more money to go to Dev, you have no way to do it. Steam also allows many trash games that are copy paste of others while sometimes blocking great games because of technicalities, in that way, Epic store is much better curated.
Epic might not be great, but if they are smart they can easily estabilish themselves as the 2nd biggest PC platform and rival Steam.

Epic is trash, that's fact!
They even had asset flips on their "curated" store few weeks ago, steam gives you tons of tools instead, so you can curate your store as you wish.
Steam doesn't have paid exclusives, any publisher is free to release game anywhere and even can just generate keys to sell on their website/other stores and get 100% cut.
Epic spending millions just to buy exclusives and force people use their store, they don't even care about user experience, still don't have user profiles or forum, just added shopping cart after 3 years and achievements is still buggy mess.
I don't care about their store, why should I buy from there if I've all previous games from same series on Steam? there's many other legit reasons people hate epic, even if you look 2021 statistic, 95% of their userbase only getting free games and they missed revenue roadmap by half and almost haven't grown since first year.

The web store has no argument in its favour, aside from meaty coupons and numerous free games. However, the launcher is okay, e.g. I get much higher download speeds on Epic compared to Steam. I am playing Prey, which was given away on Christmas day. Except from missing social features (screenshots, achievements), the core experience is as good as it would have been on Steam.

monopol? you know what that means?
if it would have monopol, then this conversation wil never happen

No used. Why? I HATE EXCLUSIVES! That why EGS get my excursive ban.
Comment has been collapsed.
Lol these games isn't exclusive to steam, they just choose not to release on other platforms, and nothing is stopping them from doing it. in the other hand, games on epic are exclusives because they're under contract. there is a massive difference.Games that are exclusive on steam, are just there because developers choose to release their game there, they weren't bribed, threatened or forced. they can release their game anytime on any platform or third party websites.

Paid? No!
EGS PAY dev to not sell game elsewhere. Like Metro Exodus B3 < you cant play because you don
t buy on their platform.
And something funnier: EGS don`t let Helltaker to on their platform . Why? Because is only 1 person (+1 composer) do it. He MUST sign pledge to even publish on EGS. On the other hand Steam: Just OK, publish, without any extra hooks (AND create small but funny Fandom)

There are not many reasons to use the coupon now tho. I wonder If there's another big sale before the 27th.
The only problem I have with EGS is that the site is really really slow, needs a lot of optimization.

They did attract me, and some people I know, so it works at least a little

City of Brass was free on Epic and has chances to be cycled like some other games.
Comment has been collapsed.
Unfortunately I started my collection of digital games last December.
Anyway "City of Brass" only cost €1.62 and its purchase was necessary to get the discount, since the minimum purchase was €15 and I was missing 5 cents with The Witcher III GOTY + Metro Redux.
I am very happy with this purchase :)

I didn't know it was a thing. 😯 What some exclusive games for Epic that are no more than £10?
Update: I got myself Corruption 2029 and paid £8 to cover the rest. I've wanted this game for a long time and well, now I got it cheaper. If you like XCOM games, you'll probably like this one.

Well yes, I get that and I definitely have a higher advantage, it's just looks a lot nicer knowing you'll pay less if only you'll have the money, due to location. I've been born in a country where the currency was not keeping up with the western world. I would still find it a good deal for a recent game that came out plus another for only $7. Don't you think? Now that I've moved to the UK, I can afford more, but would not be able to purchase two games for just $7.

Not all publisher use a "nice" regional pricing with country from latam, seems that with Sifu they were really nice. Other publisher, like Private division, usually put the same price in almost all the world. But here (Argentina) we pay a tax of 65% of any foreign purchase. So a game of 30USD we paid 50.
Comment has been collapsed.
Shouldn't is the magic world. But all thing that are paid in foreign currency receive that tax, also things like Netflix and so. Physical things are usually a plus 50% of the price outside the country. Hardware for pc is a pain (leaving aside the actual crisis) :)
The good thing is we have stock of RTX3080 the bad thing is the price is 2500USD 🤣

Grab myself Disciple: Liberation for about 5 bucks.
Couldn't find anywhere cheaper than that for such a newly-released game.
It's my third "actual" purchase, since The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - GOTY and Oddworld: Soulstorm, using the similar coupon, each on different sales.
Let's just say that it's a way to thank them for generously giving away top-grade games (in the meantime I also grab Cris Tales for free this week) which I could not afford them on other stores. I know for sure (regarding all the hatred toward EGS) that many don't accept the idea, but I don't care.
