Ok so I just won a giveaway for Five Nights at Freddy's and got sent a dropbox link to the 'game' exe by the giveaway creator, hehe.

Contacted the giveaway creator on Steam and tried to explain I need a key to redeem, but they either don't understand the site (new to giveaways but account is 8 months old) or are purposely scamming trying to get people to download trojan exe files. They just said "So you dont want the game, I will pick a diffren winner then"

I also see the only previous giveaway this user has with feedback (Five Nights at Freddy's 2) is from someone with only 1 giveaway win, this account also 8 months old, and this winner appears to have just regifted Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (game is not redeemed in their account, new giveaway just ended).
So did I just stumble upon two helpless noobs? Is it paranoid to think this is somehow a scam to get people to download trojans?

What should I do? Just mark as not received and go on with life or should I bother support with a ticket? I know I'll have to wait a week to report as not received, should I do anything in the meantime? Do I need to do anything to prevent the giveaway creator trying to request a reroll?

Oh yeah, didn't even think of reporting for regifting. Went back to do so and noticed the regifter's description: "Five Nights At freddys 2 Direct Download from my Mega uploads"

LOL some people. Reported.

Definitely report. This is not cool, and goes beyond simply not providing the game to the "winner".

Whether it's a trojan, or just plain old piracy, the user needs an emergency appointment with the banhammer...

Yeah good point, didn't think about it that way. Reported em, I suspect they'll have a few more incoming. Thanks.

Pff. I won a GA, all nice, user adds me on Steam and then... he wants the game from me. As far as I understand he thinks that if I won a GA then I have a chance to provide him with a key :) have I missed something?

<s> What do you mean, 1,000 people aren't competing to give me a game? This site is stupid </s>

I remember that giveaway.

I sent in a support ticket myself when I saw the description.
It looks like the giveaway was deleted by cg, but nothing on the user yet.
