They might look similar but I can run properly SoC but CS is way too laggy. I just bought and installed Pripyat so I'll test soon enough.

Because Clear Sky uses an enhanced lighting engine and Call of Pripyat's is enhanced even further.
Basically the only difference, graphically, between the three is shadows look prettier in Clear Sky than they do in SoC, and even prettier in Call of Pripyat compared to CS.

Another question, does the game still buggy to an extent that is it's unplayable. (cannot open a certain door etc.)?

Does that mean I have to go through forums looking for patch file?

Download the game via Steam. Then grab the Stalker Complete mod for whichever game you are going to play. Enjoy super awesome, but challenging game. The complete mods have numerous fixes, minor tweaks, better graphics and other things. The guy that does them has his own site. http://artistpavel.blogspot.com/
Once you do a playthru with Complete, there are other mods you could potentially install, play through again, and have a different experience.
Personally I find the first one the most challenging and fun. It is less linear and the story is better. The third is more linear, the story is kinda meh, and I found it to be easier. No matter which you play, realize this isn't CoD or TF2 or some other arcade style shooter. It is a fps that pretty much requires you to use iron sights, scopes, kneel, take careful aim, be aware of your surroundings, and conserve ammo. Even on easy it is possible to die on the first quest if you try to run and gun. Play smart, get immersed into the game, and you will love it.

Thanks for this. I'll just buy the complete pack then, hope the devs will continue working on Stalker 2.

So....I'd like to buy the complete collection but I think I will never be able to finish all of them. So I have few questions:
1)what is the best part to buy if I'd only take one
2)if I play 2nd or 3rd part will it be weird to play older ones? (you know, when you play Splinter Cell Chaos Theory the original Splinter Cell looks kinda weird...)
3)how much time would each game take you to finish if you'd only play the main quest and wouldn't check every corner
Thank you all!
