Any thoughts on PS Vita?

I love mine. I love the high quality graphics, the dual analog sticks, the screen is beautiful, the navigation of the OS is easy and the lineup of games for launch has been really good. Sure we see some ports like Fifa and Rayman: Origins, but those works stunningly good on the Vita and is so much fun to play. Mixed with games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Lumines: Electronic Symphony, Wipeout 2048, Super Stardust Delta, MotorStorm RC, Escape Plan, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend & Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack it has a lot of fun to offer.

Sure it's far from perfect and some areas of the OS needs improvements, but that's whats firmware updates are for and already from launch in Japan to launch in US/EU, there has been plenty of improvements and new additions.

My biggest criticize about it, is that they didn't include ANY memory at all. I get why they have their own memory cards, to combat piracy and to be sure the speed of the memory card is high if enough, so it doesn't creates problems in games, plus off course earn some money on it, since they are a company. But they could have included a very small amount of memory onboard, eg. like 1gb, just to get people going, in case the store is out of memory cards. And since 1GB wouldn't be enough for 99% of the users, they would still go out and buy a memory card.

And if people whine about the vita memory card prices, sure they are high, but don't go compare them to regular a SD card memory, that's just not a fair comparison and if you want a really fun comparison, take a look at the price difference for the different iPad models :)

I've never been a big handheld person, I hardly did play my 3DS, but Vita I'm really having a blast with.

Oh another negative thing about it, it's really hurting my Steam playtime at the moment :P

I want a vita but I am hoping Sony does a price cut like nintendo did with the 3DS to boost sales. That of course depends on how sales are doing but I think its doing around the same as the 3DS did. Also a sales cut means completely free since my fiancee has enough shoppers points to get one assuming they do a bonus redemption weekend

I want it if I can throw in a Smart Talk sim card and use that network instead.
