I really hope that guy sueing in the US over CS GO gambling wins and they shut all of that shit down. I mean the invite all your friends promotions are really annoying but on a less selfish note it's like handing a crack pipe to a seven year old. But on the other hand so is opening cases so Valve probably doesn't care about the ethical aspects of it als long as it makes up a huge portion of their income.

Not a shock to me really since if you own the gambling site you control the content of those vids so you can give yourself a big win for views or even go bust for views but ofcourse cuz you own the site there is no loss, I would say its good business if it wasn't just flat out shady the whole online gaming with gambling stuff in like gatchapons pretty much any item you buy from an in-game store that has a random item chance is gambling. I guess this might need a law depending on how much actual scamming on this kinda stuff there is.

The answer is yes, and I lost pretty much, you have no idea. Some of the most famous gambling websites are straight up scams, with people who gets info before hand, with fake accounts of fake gamblers that will win against you (and take money to the website), and etc.
I trust only one website, and its the only one I've ever made partnership with. And no, not because I won on it, actually I got cleaned there too and stopped betting because I'm tired of getting cleaned. But the way it happened, the amount of wins/losses made me 100% its a clean gambling website. I also lost there because I made stupid rage bets.

Betting a skin on a team is a thing.
Gambling a skin, hoping that the random algorithm is fair, is quite different.

gambling with no warranty, these kids must be really naive :|
I used to bet on lounge when I was more involved in csgo and I managed to gain something too, but that's totally different.

Of course, but the result it's not defined by the website owner.
Meanwhile a raffle is totally based on trust.

Sincerely hope that lawsuit will bust the shady balls of
these ugly sprawling weeds, Valve is responsible for.

So today there is a lot of noise around CSGO and gambling sites (pretty popular within kids, by the way). Everything is related to this video where a guy talks about two populars youtubers ( ._. ) who take profit with shady stuff regarding those sites.
This stuff always looked really suspicious and I guess they focus on kids and youtube consumers but how they manage to "promote" is really sad. But the saddest part is the scammers fanboys on the comments. More discussions (without the potato stuff of youtube) here
