Creation Club will probably be included. I cannot see the program abandoned after being in only two games - Fallout 4 and Skyrim remaster - and Creation Club fits the online aspect talk Kotaku mentioned in their speculatory Fallout 76 online capabilities article.

Please, please, PLEASE don't make us build settlements again
I actually love to build and, truth be told, no one made us do it; it was optional :D

Exactly! And I love it in every game. Albeit, they could work on the building mechanics some more (I want them to make the objects snap a bit more freely; it is too restrictive as it is. Also, the object placement on the terrain needs more work too, but we work with what we have <3 )

True. I mean, anything can be fixed with mods xD One more thing I love about Fallout 4 is that they gave us the Survival mode for free, unlike they did with Skyrim xD

yes it was optional...but a waste for their development resources....better to use for story etc.

I don't agree with that. At all. The building elements are the easiest to implement, since you already have all the assets at your disposal. All they had to do is develop the mechanics of when the player is gluing the objects together. Similar thing they did with The Morrowind Construction kit or whatever it's called...

Sure the assets are already there, but every minute spend by a dev group to implement this mechanics was to much, also they have to maintain this feature after every game patch.
I mean when i want to play a settlement game, i surely don*t play Fallout 4.

I'm pretty sure whatever time the programmers spent on the settlement building didn't take away from the time the writers spent on the story. These are not one-man indie developers and different aspect of the game are built by different people.
Considering a lot of people enjoyed it, it wasn't a waste. I don't enjoy multiplayer games. Should we then consider that GTAV multiplayer code was a waste of their development resource that could have been better used for the single player story?

You can consider whatever you want as a waste of dev. resources of any game you say..i won*t judge you.

You are right. Nobody can take time from writers if there are no writers :D
After spending 200h in that game I wasn't able to finish it.. Most missions had one sentence plot. Don't get me wrong - there were great ideas for mission. But they turned all of them into the same boring tasks.
Also main story is terrible.

I admit my settlements are not that elaborate, but I do enjoy it :)

Please no Rust Clone but a New Vegas 2 style game would be nice..best Fallout game ever...and without that settlement crap.

The teasers gave me vibes of a social experience or experiment of sorts. If bethesda were know for smaller games a short or endless replayable game around one vault would seem more like it but they made that mobile game so who knows...
The vault being the main hub seems very likely; Multiplayer rumours also fit with that- one could 'go out of the vault' alone or with company, or even meet random people while outside (with good chances of then being enemies, or up to the players). Instanced stuff- wich is open to 'game modes' so to say, so going out for scavenge, hunting or battling could be ways of structuring fluff/lore-wise different game modes and who knows battle royale- because Bethesda is no stranger to tapping on trends.
IF its more like previous Fallouts(from Bethesda) then the Vault would be a hub and building probably optional, around it or around the wastes. But i doubt thats the case.
I don't expect rpgs from Bethesda anymore. If it at least try something different, even if action wise, im cool with it. Im a die-hard fan of classic fallouts all the way back from their release, was involved in some of its brazilian fan-made translation, was one of the fans sticking around the devs like flies as they released info on lore and plans for a sequel for decades... but im cool with the ip going directions genre wise- like the mobile game did. Sure why not- as long as rpgs keep coming up every now and again... I wish those were like New Vegas at least, but i don't give bethesda any good credit- at least MODDERS can make their games more like what Fallout deserves.
What saddens me is the damage they do to the Lore.

100% this. I was getting hyped until I read that...
The next EA and Activision of our time? :'(

At this point, the next Elder Scrolls game is now Bethesda's Half Life 3

Fallout 76 ... excited!
Online .... What?
Survival... Huh?
Fallout 76 ... extremely un-hyped.

Yeah this was basically my feeling too.
I really loved Fallout New Vegas, and enjoyed Fallout 3 too. I'm plodding through Fallout 4 but it's certainly a step back from the former games in terms of quality. I just don't care about a lot of what they want me to do.
An online, multiplayer Fallout does not interest me.

Today I learned about Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and Fallout 76. And I'm more hyped for the former than the latter. And I love the Fallout franchise more in general. And LGPE looks really friggin shallow. I never thought this day would come.
I mean, it's an interesting concept, I would love to play a co-op Fallout with my friends, but this is Bethesda we are talking about. They have never gotten to the depth of New Vegas' story. And that's the sort of Fallout story I would love to go through with friends; one where you can bend factions to your will and shape the wasteland as you deem fit (which would get really exciting if you and your buddy choose to side with different factions). I don't want to just survive in a radioactive desert (or whatever climate 76 is set in) with friends, there's a thousand other games for that.
And poor ol' Obsidian, they just want to make another Fallout game so bad, but Bethesda is like "nah, your ideas suck, our idea for a Fallout-themed Rust clone is waaaay better!" Obsidian needs to make their own Fallout expy to build a franchise off of, since Bethesda won't let them touch Fallout ever again.

Supposedly it's gonna be a Rust clone, or a battle royale.

It would be hard to have the game set so soon after the war. Maybe the game's tutorial section starts that early. You play as one of the original settlers, explore the area around the vault and establish a surface establishment. Then for the game proper it could flash you forward a couple hundred years and you are one of the descendants of the Vault 76 settlers. What remains has become a popular trading post. From there the story moves forward similar to Fallout 2.

The wait is over.... For now. Bethesda announced Fallout 76 today with a nice little teaser video set inside Vault 76.
It seems like it might be set in 2105, which is only 28 years after the bombs fell. The earliest timeline in the franchise.
Please, please, PLEASE don't make us build settlements again. And do NOT give us paid mods or lootboxes/microtransactions that seem to be all the rage these days.
Damnit, now I HAVE to find a way to get the Fallout 4 season pass just to play the rest of them as well.
Also, what happened to Fallout's 5 through 75? :P
Edit- Response from the New Vegas team.
