Battlestar Galactica, the new series. For me, it's simply the best. I never skipped it, not even for one episode.
Also, SG fan here, although I preferred SGU above all. It's the more mature of all, it's a shame it got cancelled.

If you're thinking of watching BSG, start with the miniseries, and then go along the whole series. It's on Netflix.
It's really different from SG, though, as it's more mature and deals with deeper themes. More like SGU.

For BSG, start with the 2003 mini series, then continue the rest of the series. For the movies, "Razor" is best viewed between season 2 & 3, "The Plan" is best viewed after completing the series.
To top it off, watch Caprica, followed by "Blood & Chrome"
